Not quite Broadway, but I have ruby slippers on my ankle.
(Along with others, but they are even less Broadway-related.)

With all due respect... a tattoo is something permanent. Whatever you select it must definitely be something pseudonymous with you. It shouldn't JUST be a Broadway-related tattoo. It needs to be something that is who you are, past, present and future. Many people later regret their tattoos because they chose something they liked at that 'moment' and which later made them cringe. You seem to be picking anything random just because its Broadway. You need to put much more thought into this.
I chose FOSSE as Bob Fosse has been a part of my life since I was 7 years old. I've had that tattoo for way over a decade and I've yet to regret it in any way. The selection of his name WAS intentional and a lot of thought was put into it -- for the long haul not just the 'moment'.

I know tons of people who have it, but I have the Origin of Love tattoo from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Hedwig is the reason I am the way I am today. It was my "coming out" show and it means so much to me. So for my 18th birthday, my gift to myself was my tattoo. Or maybe it was my 19th birthday. Anyway, I've had it for a couple years now.
It's also in a place that I don't see all the time so when I catch a glimpse of it in the mirror or something it's such a nice little surprise.

Posted: 11/8/08 at 1:25pmI have the original ANGELS IN AMERICA artwork on my arms. MILLENIUM is on the right, and PERESTROIKA is on the left. I had always been in love with that artwork (as the plays are my favorite), so when I finally mustered the bravery to get a tattoo, I KNEW that was what I wanted being that I would have them for good. I have never regretted them and find they always make an excellent conversation piece...especially when you work in a prison and the offenders want to know what they are!

I had an idea for a Broadway-themed tattoo a little while ago. It's a little lame, but it's also small, simple, and packed with meaning. I'm going to give it a number of months (no fewer than six, probably closer to a year), and IF I still want it, THEN I'll get it. :)
I originally wanted a couple of "f"s on my back, like on a violin, but then I found out one of my friends had 'em. I think something so permanent should also be quite personal and preferably not replicated among one's friendship group.
EDIT: And can we please see more pics? I love looking at people's tattoos, particularly if I'm interested in the subject matter.

Brody, I agree. Each of my tattoos was one I had thought about for a long time and represents who I am and always will be.
I picked ruby slippers because I've been involved in the production no less than three times (playing the Wicked Witch of the West was the most fun I've ever had onstage), The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite movies since before I can remember, and it reminds me that "there's no place like home."
I also have a contour integral (calculus symbol) because I love math and someday want my Ph.D. in partial differential equations, and I want to get a small Star of David inscribed in a circle.
The only one I am not 100% happy with is the first tattoo I ever got, and that's because I got it pretty much because I wanted a tattoo. It's just a simple rose, so it's nothing embarrassing. It's not like I could ever grow out of liking roses. It's just not particularly special. Though it is purty.

On my foot (obviously).
The cursive C is what makes it a contour integral, and it's also my initial.

Well...I have the comedy and tragedy masks tattooed on the upper-left part of my back. I got them done over a year ago and haven't regretted them once. Theatre has always been a driving force in my life and I'm 100% happy with my choice.
In contrast to Weez I got the same tattoo as two of my closest friends. I had originally planned on getting it done by myself but when they told me they were planning on getting it done as well we all went as a group.
I plan on adding on to it or possibly getting a new theatre related tattoo. I'd like to have some lines from a musical added above and below the masks...I've been thinking about either "Open up your mind/Let your fantasies unwind" or "Masquerade, Paper Faces on Parade/Hide your face so the world will never find you." I'm not entirely sure yet, though.
One of my friends does have a tattoo of a heart with a hand print on it from Wicked.

Yero- is that a blue rose for Glass Menagerie?
I only have one for now and its theatre related. Its a clock inside of a star with the letters CXVI on the clock which are the roman numerals of my favorite Shakespeare sonnet (116). The sonnet talks about how love defys time and it like a star, which explains the design. I love it.
I also wanna get the artwork from Angels (just M. Approaches), and perhaps part of the sheet music for Move On from Sunday in the Park.
My friends are just as nerdy as I so we came up with this idea: We are each gonna get the word SIDE tattooed wherever we want so that, when we are all together, we are all SIDE by SIDE by SIDE.
Horribly nerdy, right?? We can't help it, we love it. Two of them have it, I'm getting mine soon.

Okay, I concede; the idea of group tattoos is adorable. :3 I guess I just don't want to be all "yup, I've thought of this, it's awesome, it's my idea, it's great, huzzah!" only for tons of other people to do the same. A group of friends getting the same tattoo together because it means something to them all is awesome. Coincidentally getting the same tattoo as someone you know is less so, for me, anyway. :3

Posted: 11/8/08 at 5:44pmI really want to get some of the lyrics to Someone in a Tree tattooed...somewhere on me. probably my back or something. I'm just having trouble picking exactly the lines I want...and I'm afraid of getting a stupid looking block of text.

My life ambition is to get Anyone Can Whistle to work on stage so I've also considered getting the cartoon of the woman coming out of the whistle...
or this is super gay but i've considered the liza silhouette from Liza with a Z or even some stylized version of "jazz hands"... I will post sketches when I get closer to making my decision

Nope, just a rose. It's actually purple, although the color has faded.
I was 18, wanted a tattoo, and thought roses were pretty. It still is pretty, but it doesn't mean anything significant like my others do.
