I am going to go nuts in the month between now and Thanksgiving! My parents and I are seeing it that Saturday night, and I promised them I'd wait to see it for the first time with them. Why do I make stupid promises like that???

Normally I'm not convinced from the clips of the shows but I'm so thrilled. I'm going to try to be there on Friday.

The piano strikes me as strange. I can't decide whether it is artfully simplistic or pretentious and unnecessary.

The director seems like she is making a great thing. I like the Piano thing and think it will be the best production of the season. And I think it will be a hit.

I think having just glass as the keys is a little too simplistic for me. I think that if they painted keys onto it, I would like it more.

The production is pretty minimalist and the piano looks lovely in the show.

I saw this production down in DC and I have tickets to see it on Friday and I am really excited...Ragtime is my absolute favorite show and I am so happy it is coming back.

I'm already excited for Friday night, but that video just made me even more excited. I can't wait for this brilliant piece of theater to be back on a NY stage again.

I won't be there on Friday ( ) but I can't WAIT to see it. Brilliant doesn't begin to describe this masterpiece. So happy it's back on Broadway.

I can't wait till Christmas break so I can see this. It looks AMAZING.

It's one of my favorite musicals and I'm so excited that it's back on Broadway. :)

However, I don't like the "choreography" for the opening number. Looks way too... high school. *eek!*

I hate that I can't see it until next month, but I'm excited that the rest of you can see what we in DC were all raving about last spring. It's a really amazing production that portrays it in a much different way than the original. I love the simplicity of this production. The piano and the car work very well when seen in the context of the show, with the rest of the set. This doesn't have the over-the-top production values of the original, and it still works.

I really like the vibe I got from Marcia Milgrom Dodge, she seems like a fun and spunky lady to work with. I really hope this takes off!!

At least they have a piano and a car. This recent production I saw only had chairs yet it was still very effective. It was too simple for my taste but the music and cast made up for it. I'm sure the Broadway cast will be just as wonderful.

I'll be there on Friday. Watching those clips gave me chills and a rush of memories from this wonderful production that I had the pleasure to see several times when it was in DC. Can't wait!!
