" i learned that early on- i was the only straight guy in my high school plays - ye the only one without a girlfriend...oh the irony"
Oh dear, hahahaha. That's sooo funny. What were those guys doing with girlfriends?

They should absolutly have that chapter on getting to the theatre on time! When i went to see Wicked, during Popular and big group of people were just coming into the row in front of me. This made everyone in that row to get up to let them in so i was standing up to see Cheno do the funny stuff on her bed. The lunges and her facial expressions.

You know, how could you come into a show in the middle of a song in the middle of a show? It's stupid...you waste all that money on a ticket and you miss a big chunk of what is going on. If I were one of those people who came in late, I know I would have a huge feeling of regret inside of me for missing that much of the show.

Don't file your nails during a performance! (Had that happen in the second row, no less, while seeing "A Raisin in the Sun". needless to say, I made her stop!

We have a late seating policy at my theatre (in DC) that we stick to religiously. Once the lights are down and the cast comes on the stage, absolutely no one is seated until the late seating break. This can be 10 minutes into the show or (as in our last production, Cyrano) 45 minutes into the show! The late seating breaks are tied into a change in scenery or a time when all the principals have left the stage.

Mamie, they used to do that in the Broadway houses too. Now people just wander in and out at will.

Chapter 323 - 2003 to 2004, the Season That Was (AKA: Wicked didn't win best musical, get over it)
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

--chapter 30: 100 reasons why there should be a kids section far from wherever i'm sitting --
amen to that. they really should have soundproof booths or something like that for the little kids. id actually be willing to donate money to theatres to help this happen. that is how much i detest small children, i am willing to give up some of my money to get them away from me

I think it should just be produced in volumes. There should be
Broadway 101: The Rules
Broadway 201: The Actors
Broadway 301: The Composers/Writers
Broadway 401: The History of Theater
Broadway 501: Intensive Sondheim Workshop
Broadway 601: The Final Exam. If you can pass 601, you have graduated. Questions include: "Phantom" was written by....." and "Idina Menzel began her career in what history-making show?"
