I was just wondering if anyone had any insight to this. I know Christine Ebersole, Norbert Leo Butz and a few others have come forward to say they reside in our wonderful Garden State but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other performers that currently reside here as well (not just born here etc). I'm looking into this for a project and would appreciate it some feedback. Thanks so much.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Oh, I completely forgot this one: Mary Birdsong (FAME BECOMES ME and RENO 911 on TV) is from my hometown and graduated from my high school. She still has family in the area and visits regularly (she came into the book store where I work last summer).

The playwright Amiri Baracka lives in Newark.

Alan Alda lives in Leonia. Brooke Shields lives in Englewood. Paul Sorvino lives in Tenafly. Danny Aiello lives in Saddle River.

Non-Broadway, but Joe Piscopo and Ray Romano own property in my hometown. Moss and Kitty Hart used to vacation in my hometown, too. That was close to 50 years ago, of course. My father was friendly with them.

Antonique was the only one I knew of . . . and yes, she does live in Jersey with her family and commutes to the city every day.

I agree with Motor Tink . . . gonna have to pay closer attention to those who live around me!

"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you: -Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off! -Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch! -I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that. -Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say. -Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular! -Bed made, room straightened. We've done that. -Colors blended. Oookay. -But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile." ~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"
