Broadway residency

Apparently the Nederlanders are looking at continuing their in residency program with empty theatres that might be open for a few months.
They are apparently trying to getting together a list and contacting or discussing with arts to join. And Bette milder is supposed to be in talks for a smaller concert evening for a 4-6 week run . After todays announcement of Barry manilow it kinda makes sense

Id love to see Bette in this.
As always I think Barbra would do well.
Bernadette Peters with a revised concert
Liza. Telling stories and sing a few
I also think Dolly Parton telling stories about her songsand singing a few
Or an evening with Julie Andrews where maybe she ran it as a monologue like a one woman show on her life.

If it gets theaters occupied and stage/house/security folks a paycheck, then I'm all for it. 

I really hope Cher is in the list too!

Would love to see a residency of Three Divas- maybe Kelli McDoanld, Donna Murphy and Laura Benanti- or add or subtract Laura Osnes or Jessie Mueller- or someone else I have not thought of- to do a revue and history of the Broadway musical- or their favorite songs and anecdotes- I would personally love a night like that on Broadway.

Oh I would love to see a three diva show too

Peters, LuPone, Chenoweth Or Menzel Or MacDonald Or Benanti Or O’Hara Or Osnes Or Buckley Or Ebersole Or Ripley Or Michele

Or a three divos

Karimloo, Groff, Jackson, Or Tveit Or Lewis (I’m realizing it’s more difficult for me to name male stars by last name only).
 

 

But i do like the residency idea.  It seemed to me anyway that they had gone away from it for a while other than the occasional chenoweth or patti and Mandy Or Hugh Jackman ones.  I liked the artist residency in New York.
