Hi, has anyone heard much about Busker Alley...other than the fantastic cast? How can I get tickets?

I'm going and I'm very excited to see this show! Here is the info:
Tickets are scaled from $100-$250 and are now available through The Kaye Playhouse Box Office. To order, call (212) 772-4448 or visit the The Kaye Box Office, East 68th Street (between Park & Lexington Avenues) Monday through Saturday, 12 PM - 6 PM.
To inquire about special donor seating (Prime and Premium Orchestra seats for donations of $1,000 and $500, respectively) call the York Theatre directly at (212) 935-5820. Tickets purchased at the $1,000 and $500 levels will include passes to the exclusive post-show reception with the cast and creative team, limited edition posters and a listing in the program.

No, haven't heard much about it. It astonishes me that something with a cast like this could be promoted so unbelievably poorly. No matter how terrible the actual show is, it would seem whoever is putting it on would at least use this great cast for some press.

Is this the Tommy Tune "Busker Alley"? If so, saw it a number of years back when it was in Denver. Awful show! I sat through the entire show because it was Tommy Tune and I don't usually walk out on shows. I figure, the performers are giving their all so it is only right to stay for the whole show. But this show was not that great! There was this light pole that Mr. Tune swung around on so much that WE were dizzy when we left the theatre! Hopefully it has been really re-vamped! Interested in reading reviews on this?

Yes, it's strange that there has been little to no advertising on this benefit. Luckily I found out about it by attending the Musicals in Mufti series at the York Theater for three weekends in October. Jim Morgan made the announcement about the benefit before every performance. I wonder how it's selling...
Still, I'm eager to see Jim Dale and Glenn Close on stage and seeing this flop musical that closed on the road...I am such a flopaholic!

Ok, call me stupid, but who is going to be doing this? ie Cast list, please? BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY had the most amazing cast EVER IMO

uncageg, I saw it in Costa Mesa,CA. PAINFUL!!! There was point in the show when Tommy Tune's character turned into his own father and had a marionette on his lap, playing his younger self... Now in a fun flop this would have been a howling funny moment...however, in this mess, it was excruciating.

Well one can pretty much assume that big_musical_nerd works at the York. So let them know they could do a lot better with promotions.

Here's the cast list...and since it's a concert, I'm assuming there won't be any streetlamps, or puppets. (At least I hope there aren't any puppets! I'm still annoyed that the fake dog got a bio in the tour playbills...)

Saw it in SF, three times. NOT as bad as some are making it out to be. The sets were actually very dramatic, especially the Bridge one they used the second time I saw the show. Marcia Lewis was wonderful as a Busker, and the pupppets....well, they were interesting.
The dance sequences were actually choreographed quite well, which I expected from Tune. What I had trouble with was HIM being the love interest to Darci Roberts, who looked about 12 when she did this show! The chemistry was not there.
The bones of a good show were there, but a lot of paring needed to be done to get there. Which they never did, because of the broken foot. I remember more controversy around Stevie Phillips (producer - sic?) and the insurance coverage surrounding Tune's accident. There were a few stories about that.
I think the "not really" broken foot theory was a bit overblown.
