I couldn't imagine better casting for this play right now.  These two would also be magnificent in The Goat, but that is asking for too much of a good thing.  I'm only sorry they won't be running at the same time as Tarantino's play, because I doubt I can afford two trips to London within such a short time.  I'll be taking one of those trips, though.  No doubt at all about that.

I have never booked tickets so fast before! This will definitely be one of the most anticipated shows of the fall in London!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

I could see this transferring to New York...but perhaps not Broadway. Anderson has been reluctant to stay put in the US for long periods of time for work. I have to imagine it would be a good 6 month commitment on Broadway, between rehearsals and a long enough run to recoup. Based on past behavior, I'm not holding my breath that she would want to uproot her London life for that long.

Her production of Streetcar Named Desire transferred to St. Ann's Warehouse, and I think that place or a similar Off-Broadway company with a shorter run would be more likely. In any case, crossing my fingers it lands SOMEWHERE stateside because I cannot afford a London trip right now.

She did Angels in America.

Also The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night Time and War Horse.  All three of these were highly theatrical productions. Maybe the intimacy of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a challenge she's been looking for.

Can’t blame her for avoiding ‘murica.

She was amazing in "Indecent". Saw it at The Cort.
