Is it on in Florida?!??!
Damn it, I missed Jane Krakowski. I just turned it on. I do this every year; I think it's on at 8 and it's really on at 7.
Yeah, we only get Bway in prime time once a year.

Matthew Morrison and Kelli O'Hara - Tonight....
This should be recorded...
And Kelli's dress is nearly transparent :)

D*mn you people! Tape it someone, please??
Who was on during the first eight minutes?
They just showed Elise Goldsberry - just okay in THE MILLER'S SON. Leeann Womack scary in DONT CRY FOR ME, ARGENTINA. Carolee Carmello is next.
Opened with a kid singing Something Coming (I don't know who it was) - went to Jane Krakowski doing Don't TEll Mama, then Sutton Foster doing You've Got Possibilities
Yeah, that wasn't very good -- no wonder they showed 30 seconds of it
WHY WHY WHY do Broadway stars not know to hire stylists. Carolee Carmello, where is your girdle? And that is some vibrato on Buenos Aires!
EDIT: There is a reason this show isn't being broadcast outside of NYC. I'm mortified for Broadway right now.

Maybe because it's hard to sing properly with a girdle.
I thought she looked fine.
And sounded great.
Edit: And here's Stritch.

Well, fine, but don't DANCE without a girdle.
SHOWBOAT section is actually good.
ugh - why would they cut off Anika there? She sounded amazing!
edit: And no one should ever sing that song in the clothes that Shuler Hensley was wearing there.

Well they are only showing about 30 seconds of every number it seems. Everyone looks so sweaty and gross, they probably are afraid to show numbers in their entirety. I'm sorry if I sound totally catty, its just a total pet peeve of mine when they do a concert for television broadcast and let stars go on in front of the camera with bad makeup, bad lighting, etc.

If you'll recall, it was a disgusting evening that night.
It's recorded from a live concert in Central Park. Not everything is going to look flawless. That's the nature of live performances outside in the summer!
Well that might explain why everyone sounds a little off too. There are so many great concert events in the city every year, why do they tape this?
Did Donna McKechnie just sing: "I'm still HAIR?"
The camerapeople seem to have a fetish for trumpeters' fingers...
edit: Really not so much enjoying the Jersey Boys All I Ask Of You...it's just weird.
i love the 2 understudy jersey boys (kudos to christian hoff for showing up...unlike other tony winners)
wtf was that? the jersey boys should stick to four seasons.

It had rained like crazy that day and the humidity was still at least 90%. It felt like a swamp!
Now, I appreciate the talent behind the new version of "All I Ask of You." But really? Was that the best song to do that to?
Now, why did they cut off Cerveris? Grr...
