re: Bway Under the stars

that was not good -- and the lead guy (I don't know who that was) - looked like Chris Kattan

Wow, Mano sounds fabulous.

re: Bway Under the stars

all 30 secs of Mano sounded great but he looked so stiff.

re: Bway Under the stars

it sucks that just because they're bigger names JB got that long segment and all we got was that 30 seconds of manoel - that was AMAZING

re: Bway Under the stars

Mano sounded very good.

re: Bway Under the stars

i like seeing them in their dorky everyday people clothes!

re: Bway Under the stars

Why has Bebe Neuwirth not played Katharine Hepburn?

the mic is bigger than her face.

re: Bway Under the stars

Wow... Liza is there... or is that the "Drowsy Chaperone"?
#38

re: Bway Under the stars

Oh Liza, it's a "precious and valuable honor" to present Hal Prince? What the hell does that mean? She must have had too many Dr. Peppers off stage.

re: Bway Under the stars

of coarse he showed up... its not like they were giving him a life time achievment award or anything.

re: Bway Under the stars

Liza really talked herself into a corner on that one

re: Bway Under the stars

If Leonard Bernstein wasn't already dead, that performance of "Dance at the Gym" would have killed him.

well, that was fun.

but the editing gave me whiplash.

re: Bway Under the stars

Why is everyone so critical?

I think it was a fun little concert. I'm sure it would've been better to have been there.

I thought Bebe was superb! Ebersole was too. and ,amu others were fabulous.

re: Bway Under the stars

oh Liza....love her. Anyways, my tape ran out just before Bebe started the Else part of Cabaret so I'm totally bummed. I don't have Liza and Bebe fully on record. If anyone taped it (digital or not) PM me please! I don't know about other people but Carolee was amazing! Sounds like Evita to me!

re: Bway Under the stars

I actually really did not enjoy Bebe, but that's my own personal opinion. I also thought the Jersey Boys were fantastic, even with the understudies.

re: Bway Under the stars

Does anyone else think it's crazy that they seemed to purposely not have people sing songs from shows they've been in. I mean, why couldn't we have heard Carolee do someting from Parade, or Mano or Micheal do something from Sweeney? Couldn't someone have gotten Hugh Panaro or someone up there to sing from Phantom instead of that uncomfortable Jersey Boys rendition? I mean really, who was in charge here?

re: Bway Under the stars

What's wrong with the stars showing off a little -- they do those songs all the time - I'm glad they got to do something a little different.
Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.

re: Bway Under the stars

Mano only sounded good towards the end, which is sort of what they showed, he seemed nervous though, I don't blame him.
