Only see CATS if you get comps and have absolutely nothing else to do that night.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

You really don't want to ask Mr. Mistoffelees, the original conjuring cat.

The story is easier to follow. I just got Cats on DVD and I had to watch it twice before I could get what was going on... I guess it's because I wasn't familiar with the show (shame on me). BUT if you really like ballet/jazz/'lil bit of tap, you'll like Cats. If you're looking for some really fun songs, go with Joseph!
