Hey, I just got a gift certificate to the Hippodrome in Baltimore, Maryland for Christmas. I was wondering, should I see the 25th Ann. Tour of CATS? Or should I just see Joseph instead? I haven't seen either, and I know more of the music from Joseph, but CATS looks interesting.
Opinions?
See Joseph.

JOSEPH!
Only see CATS if you get comps and have absolutely nothing else to do that night.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
Both shows kinda well...suck, but unless you'd like to enter the strange and complicated part of Lloyd Webber's brain you'll never want to see again...go and see that damned Technocolor Dreamcoat!
Joseph.
Only see cat's if you know a good looking member of the cast and want to see them in spandex!

I just saw Cats tour, and I enjoyed it very much! The cast was wonderful.

Go, go, go Joseph!
You really don't want to ask Mr. Mistoffelees, the original conjuring cat.
I say see Cats just for the inflatable set!
dont kill me but i say cats, i havent seen the tour but i actually liked the shows in the productions ive seen. Joseph always seemed so boring

Joseph no question about it! Lol Cats is just dumb in my opinion!
I think if you are a huge, huge, huge, i seriously mean huge cat lover, you may enjoy CATS, but I think that Joseph is much better. I've seen both and Joseph is better by far.
I've seen and been in Cats. and I would choose Joseph any day.
Joseph.
The story is easier to follow. I just got Cats on DVD and I had to watch it twice before I could get what was going on... I guess it's because I wasn't familiar with the show (shame on me). BUT if you really like ballet/jazz/'lil bit of tap, you'll like Cats. If you're looking for some really fun songs, go with Joseph!
Isn't there a third choice? Its like asking would you like syphilis or gonharea - neither choice is good.
...is the set sreiously inflatable? I've been wondering about this one for some time.
