Last night, I watched the extended cut of the Hamilton piece 60 Minutes aired on Tony Sunday. It's pretty clear to me that CBS recorded the show in its entirety with a fully intact original Broadway cast for their special. Has Lin or anybody said anything about this footage? In light of recent news that Leslie won't participate in the recordings and the fact that Groff and a few ensemble members have already left the show, I'm very curious what will become of CBS's priceless footage.
The footage is probably for promotional use only. It wasn't CBS who recorded it and they did not record the entire show.

It's not the entire show. It's B-Roll.
Oops.....nevermind. I was just getting to write about it being stock usage of the productions b'roll.

That is the most extensive B-roll footage I've ever seen, then.
How much exposure do you have to B-Roll? There are more than a few shows where their B-Roll is over an hour long.
I've seen the professionally filmed B-Roll. It not only is quite extensive with its footage content but it includes a few musical numbers in their entirety. It reminds me of the B-Roll of THE BOY FROM OZ which is basically ALL of the musical numbers in their entirety plus a few scenes. You feel like you just watched the entire show after viewing it.
