I imagine this has been addressed - pardon me for being late to the party please.
Nicholas' bio does not mention Sweeney Todd? Why would he not include that?
Thanks if anyone knows.

Good question. There is no mention of Sweeney in the printed Playbill, although it is mentioned in his bio on the Chess website. https://chessbroadway.com/cast

Somehow I have lost my Playbill. Surely this was a huge oversight! He did well in that role. Hopefully they will fix!
Putting this in the previews thread to not bog down the "reviews" one. I am just dreaming or thinking outside the box.
So, since Florence "is a chess guru, best of the best, Freddie's second" wouldn't it have been SCANDALOUS if when Freddie/Freddy (??) dropped out they pushed Florence into his place... She "playing against" her new boo.... ooooh wee.....scandaloso? Sounds fun to me.
And just this morning, I wrote something comparable on a friend's FB page:
"As a four-decade rabid fan of the score - I'd argue that the second act is unfixable, if the song stack is rigidly preserved. The only genuinely post-millennial correction to the character of Florence would be to give her comparable agency in the chess world, let her finally achieve on her own, not in the shadow of either of these two self-absorbed men. Were she to ascend, compete, and gain stature (see Queen's Gambit), she'd shake off the repetitive codependency in her song lyrics (all of which are about relationships, never personal ambition). I was accused of being "too woke" for imposing this, but believe it would solve a major problem. Moving "Someone Else's Story" to the end for a final rumination leaves her where she began. Let her sit down to a gaming table, pick up a chess piece, and sing defiantly about being on "Her" side. After all, we know what happens between Russia and the US; we don't know what happens to this co-protagonist we've spent 2.5 hours with.

Yes!!! After 40 years I know learned (thanks Bryce) that she is a Chess guru/expert; I always thought she was just a PR sort of person. I don't know jack about chess (or care to know) but apparently she is a Chess expert. If they pitted her against Anatoly it would have been delicious!!!!
Surprisingly, the Chess revival was a question on tonight's Jeopardy. Considering how early they film these episodes vs the timing of the question, hard not to believe there wasn't some clever tie-in planned.

They mentioned it was currently revived on Broadway. Did you think there'd be more?

Wondered how the question was formed so yes I would think it would be more than what show is being revived on Broadway.

Considering they film months in advance, a lot could happen between the time the show taped and the show went into previews.
