Exactly !! I say this being the one white guy on a basketball team many years ago and I will note I was not the "token" guy at the end of the bench . In other words, I had skills - ha ha.

most jews don't observe Jewish law, which was codified at a time when The Church was considered evil idolatry. Orthodox Jews do not go to churches, some at all, and some just not for religious ceremonies (and I would think that whether a funeral/wedding qualifies as a religious ceremony would depend on the individual person/rabbi/interpretation). Doesn't strike me as strange at all that religious people of one religion would have a tradition of avoiding attending/ another's. I am pretty sure its a similar story in Islam. 

But its irrelevant to this play: they announce up front that Logan has never been in a synagogue in his life. He wouldn't have any idea of any Jewish tradition and it certainly doesnt play a role in how he sees the goings on around him- he thinks the Bible is arranged alphabetically.
