COULD OSLO EXTEND?

I had to cancel my April trip to New York at the last minute and the one show I was scheduled to see I am really upset about missing is Oslo. Does anyone know 1)if the Vivian Beaumont theatre is available for it to extend and 2)if there are any rumors that it will or won't extend?

I am planning a make up trip for late June and I am trying to decide if I should hold a spot open for Oslo in case it extends. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

It opens in London on Sept 5, but not sure with original cast though (although id imagine so).

Junk is scheduled to begin previews at the Beaumont on September 14.

Junk starts at the Beaumont in September so I assume it could extend for about a month?

I'm sure it could extend at least a few weeks--but would it? It's not exactly doing boffo business, and high summer isn't the best time for theater in general (and I'm guessing especially not for an intellectually difficult 3-hour play).

Junk won't need the theater until the beginning of August at the earliest so there is no reason Oslo can't extend for a few weeks into July. But quite frankly, the box office has been meh so far so unless the positive reviews causes a dramatic uptick in interest, I'd say it's really unlikely.

Thanks for the thoughts. I am glad to hear that the theatre is available for an additional 4-6 weeks, but yes, it doesn't seem likely to extend if ticket sales do not improve. I just thought I would ask in case someone had any inside info. I will keep my fingers crossed and keep a spot open at least until Tony nominations are announced.

Has it even opened yet? Everyone here thinks to seem it might/will win the Tony. Do we think they'd transfer it?

Yes, it's official opening was this past Thursday.

Talk around the Beaumont is that it might extend for a few weeks. I think a lot of people who wanted to see it saw it at the Newhouse. It is not a show to bring the kids to and it is an acquired taste. It was announced a few weeks ago that they are filming a movie version with the same director but I have not heard anything about casting.
