I second the best news of the day!!! DHP is my favorite. He was a pleasant surprise in Spamalot. I saw CURTAINS 3 times in L.A. and he was fabulous. Can't wait to see it again!

I saw this show in LA. Hope they made some changes. Love the cast but the lack of any memorable tunes and a confusing book may make for a short run. Still, even a tuneless Kander and Ebb is better than most.

I'm so excited about seeing Curtains sometime after it opens or during previews cause I'm just such a BIG David Hyde Pierce fan. I loved him in SpamAlot and I loved him on Frasier. I can't wait to see him in this.

Would David be considered Leading Actor for the Tonys?

It was kind of bizarre watching a show in previews in its out of town tryout watching the story about them make changes to a show in their out of town tryout and wondering what they'd change before the show made it to Broadway.
I'm so excited, though! It wasn't the best show I've seen, but it had some really inventive aspects and I can't wait to see it again.

My parents loved it, by the way. (Dad: "It was very good! Better than Avenue Q and as good as, if not slightly better than, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.")

Totally rooting for Edward Hibbert for featured actor at the Tonys!!!

David Hyde Pierce is definitely a leading actor in this show. I'm sure he'd be Raul Esparza's major competition as he gives a magnificent comedic performance. He couldn't be a better fit for the role.

The show definitely needed to be trimmed by about 20 minutes (and a few lame jokes taken out) and it should be a hit.

OMG Did you see when David Hyde Pierce almost forgot his line in Act Two Scene One and Debra Monk gave him a look like, Oh No U didn't! and when John Bolton almost stepped on Karen Ziemba's foot i thought I would die and the second understudy was sooo good.
Did u stage door?
Edward Hibbart said he saw me in the second row. again.

I wonder what the chances are for a recording for this show?

This is a phenominal cast and best...it's KandernEbb!!!
Some people are saying it's not the most memorable score in the world, but I loved the music and all the fun. Although I admit it did need a tweek or two. I'm so excited about this (is it too obvious?) I could run a marathon! Can't wait! Definitly getting my tickets early. Can't wait for OCR.

CURTAINS! KANDERNEBB! THE HIRCSHFELD! YAY! YAY! YAY!
Sorry for shouting...I'm really excited.

Incognito, I think unless it's a tremendous FLOP (God forbid), there is no question of a recording. It's pretty rare these days for original shows not to have an OBCR.

I am anxious for this to do well. I adore David Hyde Pierce re: CURTAINS Finds A Broadway Home I only wish that it was a different theatre--- meaning that I wish WEDDING SINGER was not closing - it's not closing because of CURTAINS re: CURTAINS Finds A Broadway Home... OK, now I'm rambling *lol*

Tabby,

Under Features on the Broadway World site. Click on *showcial network* and there's an entire list of show and star boards. I think I'm still the only one on the CURTAINS and DHP Board. It'll pick up shortly I'm sure. :)
