Gee. What a shock.

Very glad to hear about this.

I'll surely be seeing Curtains this summer..
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

re: CURTAINS Finds A Broadway Home

Let's remember that WEDDING SINGER isn't closing just so CURTAINS can open. It's closing because it isn't doing good business, freeing up the theater, and CURTAINS is able to step in.

One has nothing to do with the other.

Quite exciting news especially since the LA cast is transferring. I am really interested in seeing how the show has changed (I saw it during previews) from previews at the Ahmarson to opening night to previews on Broadway to opening night again.

re: CURTAINS Finds A Broadway Home

That's because it's a New York cast who rehearsed here and then took the show there as a tryout, with an eye on coming back into NY.

Rath, do you know if Karen Ziemba's part will remain as featured for the New York transfer? I felt that her part was as relevant as Monk's.

I haven't seen the show, but I know it is considered a featured role, yes.

I must make it a point to see David Hyde Pierce in this show because I missed seeing him in Spamalot. :)

Noah Racey went to my high school...I'm very excited for him. He turned down being the Bert understudy in Mary Poppins to do some "new Kander and Ebb show", and I'm glad it's worked out for him.
