Don't know if this would be possible, but how amazing would it be to have Barrett Wilbert Weed as Sally and another past Emcee, Raul Esparza for the tour?
Esparza is a regular on Law & Order SVU and couldn't do it.
Considering Raul Esparza is now a full-time cast member on LAW AND ORDER: SVU...that's a big negatory, hon.
What about Wes Taylor who's currently playing it in D.C.?
I'm still wishing that Alan Cumming takes the part on tour, (crossing fingers)

How do you know?
why would he be? all of the promotional photos show Leeds Hill who might not be doing the tour but they clearly chose not to use Alan in the photos.

I highly doubt he is, since they re shot the b roll with Leeds Hill and Andrea Goss. I'm NOT saying that they are gonna be in the cast, but they wouldn't go through the hassle for no reason.

Alan Cumming Said that the 2014 Revival was the last time he will ever play the Emcee. So it will not happen, Sorry.
I am just glad I got to see his final performance.

While it's possible they'll be playing the roles on tour, realistically the main reason they filmed b-roll with Leeds and Andrea is because all other b-roll of the show was of Alan Cumming and whichever famous woman was playing Sally at the time. That b-roll wouldn't be smart to show to advertise a tour because even if they say it's the broadway cast, there would probably be a large number of people expecting to see Alan Cumming starring in Cabaret in their hometown.
Announcement must be coming in the next couple of weeks, right?
I'm anxious to hear too. This is coming by Pittsburgh in February I think and so excited to see the production at last.
Saw this on Saturday at the matinee in Providence at the PPAC. Randy Harrison is the Emcee, Andrea Goss plays Sally.
We had seen the show at Studio 54 but figured for under $60 we could have Orchestra seats at the PPAC (damn, is that one huge theater!), get a nice meal in Providence, and enjoy the show again.
It appears they brought the entire set from NYC for the tour (I know, not saying much, but they didn't cut any corners). I don't recall if any of the sets were motorized but everything here did have to be carried on and off stage.
Show was well done. Of course Harrison doesn't have nearly the impact that Cummings does, and Goss is no Michelle Williams, but she wasn't bad, and Harrison was ok. I think the problem is the size of the facility it took the show awhile to get going (we were in Row M, so could see and hear quite well).
They have tamed the costumes a bit, no bare anything (other than the Emcee's untouched nipples) at all, but they kept all the dry humping which amused the audience quite a bit.
The audience loved the show, big standing ovation at the end. I'd say the orchestra was 75-80% full, couldn't really see upstairs, but when we bought tix Saturday AM, at least the front half of the balcony was sold out.
