Brilliant. Do finish your book first, though.

OH!
DOY!
That totally went over my head.
Now where ARE my memory pills....
Tidbit: When I wrote Chapter 7, I had to re-read it to find my place. When I finished reading Chapter 6, I completely forgot why just re-read it.

"The scariest part to me has always been Tomorrow Belongs To Me beause it's such a beautiful song -- but SO tinted with evil."
I know! I've always thought this was weird, but my favorite song from Cabaret has always been Tomorrow Belongs to Me. I listened to the music and saw the movie when I was younger and before I really understood the whole Nazi background to it. Even after I had learned that, I still love it, although now moreso because of the irony in the song.
Wanting life but never knowing how

What was, in your opinion, the funniest scene in Cabaret?
Mine was when Fraulein Kost said the sailor was her nephew from Hamburg.

What is your favorite Cabaret song?
I like 'Two Ladies"--it's raunchy and crude, but delightfully so.
I also like 'Money', 'Willkommen', 'Don't Tell Mama', 'If You Could See Her', and 'I don't Care Much'.

I Don't Care Much, Money and Maybe This Time.
.... I don't really know why. heh.

Posted: 7/27/05 at 5:37pmMy dad's fav song is 'I Don't Care Much'. He said if you're in the wrong mood it'll make you cry. Which has happened to me before. :)
re: Cabaret-- a Discussion#36
Posted: 7/27/05 at 5:38pmmine's always been maybe this time... one time i did this show the director wanted to do the "original" material so they didn't use maybe this time... it really aids the show a lot, it gives so much to sally's character...

I love Cabaret... such an amazing show!!
As for the songs, I really can't narrow it down to one or two, or even three. So I'll give my top 5: "Mein Herr", "Cabaret", "Wilkommen", "Two Ladies", and "I Don't Care Much".

Or the right mood, as the case may be, 4ever.
So many talented men have sung that song in the revival - a lot of truly gorgeous renditions.

I did the show at school this year and the scariest moments were Tomorrow Belongs to Me...the audience took a few minutes to respond to the song, they were so struck by it. The finale is also terrifying, people in the cast were crying when we saw it for the first time.
The funniest part is Fraulein Schneider's line "All day, saylors in and out, in and out, what do you think I have here...A BATTLESHIP?!?!?!"
and I saw Susan and Adam in the rolse.

ElphabaRose, what was your school's production like? Did you get a role in it?
What was the ending like? Do you have any pictures?

I only saw Susan Egan. I think she was perfect, perhaps the only down-side being that she was too good of a singer.
