Guys as a jew, all I want for Xmas is for Hand To Gods last show on 1/3 to be sold out, they are about 160 seats from doing so, and there are still seats as low as $50. If you haven't seen this magnificent, hilarious and heartbreaking piece of american theater, may I suggest seeing it on Jan 3rd and sending out such a phenomenal production and group of people on a super high note! If you have seen it before, maybe consider seeing it one more time? These guys have been playing to 50% houses for the last several months, this show means the world to me and I would love for this show to end with a bang and not a sad whimper. Tyrone McHanssly would be grateful for your patronage! http://tinyurl.com/HTGLastShow

I really really hope it sells out too! I love this show and this cast so much!
What you are doing is tantamount to someone begging on the subway and asking for $50 or more instead of a buck.If you love it so much, buy the tickets yourself and hand them out on the street to passersby
I do not mean to sound harsh but there it is. Many shows I did not want to close did and I accepted it.All shows eventually close.Shows open and they close . This is the way it goes. Life ain't fair but it is what it is.

This is my favorite line of the year:
Guys as a jew,
I stand corrected. Phantom will never close nor will "The Show"
nothing wrong with a little cheerleading for something a person loves, Roxy. No one is shackling you and dragging you to the theatre, don't worry.
And the OP isn't trying to SAVE the show, just get it sold out for the closing performance. Big difference.
I love this show so much. It's one of the best straight plays I've ever seen on Broadway.
Yep and I wish every show that closed had a sold out audience the final show just for the cast.
If I was in the city I would so be there. I LOVE this play so much. Sad as the closing is (just becuase it will be the last time to see this cast), I'm thrilled it's going to London and it will undoubtedly have a strong regional theatre life.

thanks to all of the people who decided to be positive about this thread instead of cynically tearing it apart.

thought id bump this thread one more time, there is about 100 tickets left for Sunday, a lot of tickets sure, but not impossible.

and if anyone is a Tix4Students member it is still on there for 39.25!
Hope they do it, would be nice sendoff for cast.
Does anyone know if there will be rush tomorrow?
I think you may be forgetting people trying to get a deal on the last day via rushing or the like. I am fairly sure it will be a full house and if not, close.
Edit: I do hope that it is sold out, even so.

Good, sure it will be sold out or darn close.
I rushed Hand to God on Wednesday, December 30 and there were at least 30 people on both the matinee and evening lines. They sold out for the matinee, and my friends and I opted for standing room, which also looked sold out when the performance started. Granted, that was during the very busy holiday week between Christmas and New Year, but I think they'll sell out today!
Only 52 seats (many, many hours ago) and it's at 50% off on TKTS. It really makes me wonder how they come up with the percentages and such since I would figure since it's almost sold out, I would think the percentage would be far below 50% or am I totally wrong in this thinking or does it vary by show?
So? Did it sell out?
It's up to the show.

apart from some scattered seats in the mezz it was packed, brought a tear to my eye, huge applause for Tyrones first appearance, after every scene, at the end, huge standing ovation, what a way to go out!
