Dame Edna won the Tony Award for her first show on Broadway, and was nominated again for her second show on Broadway. Will this be her third nomination? or Second Win? Since there's no "Special Event" category this year, do you think Barry Humphries could be nominated for Best Actor?? And All About Me for Best Musical? The Tonys certainly loved her other shows.
I'd would be a lean year in the Best Actor category if this were to happen.
Her other shows were watchable.
No, no, and no.

Her other shows were solo shows. And she was nominated both times.
Now, its got music, and Michael Feinstein, so is that why its unwatchable this time to you? What in the other shows made them watchable? I've seen them both so please use examples.
Are you Michael Feinstein, mybigsplash?
Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna in and of themselves are not inherently unwatchable. They're both talented, even if the former is frequently boring.
But when both are given crap material to work with, little-to-no justification for them being teamed together, and an aimless cruise-ship-esque show with no framework holding it together, it becomes interminable to sit through.
What made the former shows watchable? Um... jokes that were funny, decent pacing, and actual structure and coherency?
Won't this show be considered a play? Regardless, Dame has no chance in either category. Both categories are EXTREMELY crowded. Best Actor in a play has Denzel Washington, Liev Schreiber, Christopher Walken, Alfred Molina, Norbert Leo Butz, Tony Shalhoub, Anthony LaPaglia, and Justin Bartha. Actor in a musical has Nathan Lane, Douglas Hodge, Alexander Hanson, Kelsey Grammer, Sahr Ngaujah, and Sean Hayes. I am sure I am even missing some names.

But not everything is likely.
I think if anyone in drag on Broadway is going to win a Tony it's going to be Douglas Hodge.
God I hope not.
The show is going to close any minute now.
Maybe Edna should go into LOOPED?
