Carmel Dean (Funny Girl, The Notebook) is now in the midst of composing R.A Dick's romantic-fantasy novel The Ghost and Mrs. Muir for the stage. Writing both music and lyrics, Dean's adaptation is expected to play London upon completion.

Said Dean, "Being asked to write the score for this much beloved book is truly a dream come true. The story is sweeping and epic, full of mystery, humor, and of course romance, and lends itself perfectly to being musicalized for the stage. I can’t wait to bring it to life in collaboration with the rest of this brilliant and passionate team!"

God, I LOVED this show as a kid, although I'm fairly certain I only watched as reruns. I remember almost nothing of it. Didn't even realize it was a novel!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
