My 4th time seeing the show...
Fantastic performances - the cast has been on fire lately...the audience was VERY into it...
something special happened during the middle of "Lots Wife"...when Tonya hit her "slam down the iron - FLAT FLAT FLAT FLAT" - the audience started cheering and clapping...the other times I've seen the show, "Lots Wife" has gotten a big audience response after the song - but this was the first time I've heard the audience clap and cheer like that in the middle of the number...

Not sure whether they're online -- if you get the OBC 2CD set, the entire libretto included.
Is there a full synopsis as well? I know the premise of the show, but not the song-by-song details.

There's no synopsis in the booklet.

That's why, much as I love music on the Internet, I don't think it will ever completely replace the enjoyment of buying a CD.
Is there a full synopsis of Caroline, or Change online?
i havent run into one, however the libretto included in the CD illustrates the action very well.

You really won't need a synopsis once you buy the OBC -- especially once you've listen to the CDs once through with the libretto. It's ALL there and the narrative will be crystal clear to you.

BobbyStrong: I was there on Friday night, too. And, yes, I have never heard an audience applaud during "Lot's Wife" in the four performances I have seen thus far. Pinkins seem to be straining here an there during the show, but her performance is so intense and committed, she could be straining a lot more and still pull it all off. By the way, does anyone know if Pinkins will forego her vacation (someone on the board said it was from the 22nd to the 29th), now that the show seems to be closing on the 29th? And, IS it supposed to be from the 22nd? That's a Sunday, and don't vacations usually start after Sunday performances (as Monday the show is dark).

I've been trying to get confirmation of her forgoing her vacation (it actually was never formally announced that she would take that vacation to begin with, which is probably why there's no official announcement that she won't). At this point there's no way in a million years that I could imagine that she would take even one day off between now and the closing on the 29th.

Yes, Margo, I also think Pinkins won't miss the chance to close a show that she says has meant so much to her. Friends want to go on the 22nd, but were wanting to see Pinkins. I think I'll tell them to go ahead and book before all the good seats are gone. By the way, Margo, do you collect Bette images? The ones I've seen so far as your icon(s) are great.

I don't really collect them, but there are literally thousands of images of her out there because of her "iconic" status for much of the 20th century. It makes it easy for me to change my icon whenever the spirit moves me.
Tell your friends to go ahead and book the tickets -- I'm 99.9% sure she'll be there.
I was speaking to a friend who's seen it 4 times last night and he's planning on trying to make it once more before the 29th. I'll be there the last weekend.

OMG I've heard them applaud diuring Lot's wife, it's sooo cool!! and you shouda heard when Adriane Lenox did it, they went NUTZ!!!!!
REALLY, FOR TRUE!!!!
I was there Friday too...WOW! -- She did seem to have a bit of strain, but she certainly worked through it to a tour-de-force...I was one of peeople cheering in Lot's Wife...
Still one of my favorite scenes is the the bus scence -- Chuck Cooper was THRILLING again...
In that scene, Chuck Cooper reminded me of the famous Life magazine photograph of an accordian player during Kennedy's funeral procession, with the tears streaming down his face, and the sadness of the world in his eyes...
EXACTLY Joey -- I couldn't place it....
It was also the first time my lover saw the show -- he's not a big musical fan as he is a composer of classical/chamber music -- he loved it and especially was moved by this scene -- let me tell you, that ususlly does not happen! But it gos back to having a show with meaning and depth --
