I almost bought the poster at Triton for $200...but then I decided it was too much money. I really need to save up and just splurge...it will be totally worth it!
Not anymore...it says it is sold.
If you really want it, and are willing to pay their price, call Triton. They probably have others or will call you when one comes in.
That poster looks HOT in a red frame!
But it does say sold
Thnks Thenardier...from the website.
I just found out my lp of Mama I Want to Sing is worth $200. I was too careless with my stuff. When I think of the playbills I got rid of once...
Where do you see that? Playbill stuff.
I have some that would be worth a lot - but wouldn't sell yet.
Actually met Vy Higginsen recently at a garage sale! We were fast friends and I did some research on the show. I found a site that was selling the record (cd is about 30 bucks) for 190 something.
She told me they were trying to get a movie made of "Mama..." I wanted to tell her, "Yeah...its gonna be called Dreamgirls."
Not quite sure how to gage what playbills are worth, but you can see what stuff goes for on ebay. I did see a site with someone selling a large collection, but dont remember it, sorry.
S'ok thanks.

HA!
Saw your wants list
fab...now you need the poster, and then I can be thoroughly jealous.
You can occassionally find items on eBay....that's where I got the playbill, and the printed music.

I have two carrie playbills. One is opening night color cover signed by Charlotte D'amboise and the other a B&W Signed also by Charlotte.
Things cost way too much money.
This show would last at least a season if it opened.
WOOHOO
CARRIE playbill!
Time to stalk out Charlotte and Darlene - so if either of you read this, tell the other I'm coming!
It's a good show. The director was a complete idiot and ruined the show. It does have problems, but the director's vision (Greek drama!!!) made it laughable.
I got a really rare CD for a buck on eBay a few months ago. The poor seller didn't even know how rare it was. Well, I'm not the one to tell sellers how rare their items are

about 10 years ago i saw a guy wearing a show jacket for Carrie. it was white with light blue and black stitching, as i recall. the show didn't run long enough for those involved to get jackets, so i think they had some made after the fact. anyone have one or seen one? wouldn't that be a gas to have?! i paid a guy $50 for my tape back when they were uncommon (the one from the sound board that everyone has) and he threw in a tape of the workshop (annie golden ROX!) and cuts of b. cook rehearsing her songs and trying to find keys that worked for her. $50 meant a lot to me as i was stone cold busted at the time--so you know i love this show!
oh forgot-- betty and l. hately did one of their CARRIE duets at betty's carnegie hall show in '96 but it wasn't on the cd. i thought it was because of licensing or whatever --but then someone told me that there were some technical problems with the number-- i think it was that they didn't finish with the orchestra. i remember that the excitement was so high for this number that i'm not sure i heard the ending anyway because people were screaming and applauding before the final notes.
I like Linzi better than annie...
I love Linzi - she was perfect IMHO.
Betty was perfection. She owned the role...and needs to do it again.
