"Platinum" (Starring Alexis Smith). I saw it in Philly 3 times for the music before it moved to Broadway. It had a short run. Alexis Smith was nominated for a Tony for it (I'm almost sure). But it was never recorded.
I too would love to see a Cry-Baby cd
and more than anything, this:
Recent "La Cage" revival and "Cry Baby."

I second MrSweetNAwful. I'd love to have that Threepenny recording.
And add me to the Cry-Baby list, as well.

"Carnival in Flanders", which lasted just 6 performances on Broadway but gave us the poignant and pretty "Here's That Rainy Day".

Dance of the Vampires. Even if the script sucked, the music is flipping amazing in any language.

Sign me up for all the obvious ones--Carrie, hell even Lestat (surely there'd be enough interest in releasing a limited edition at least), a complete 1971 Follies... (it's ironic that we got a better quality cast album for Anyone Can Whistle than for Follies--Hal Prince and his brief feud with Columbia Records, where Follies woulda been given a double disc, deserves a lot of Hell for that).
I feel bad complaining what with Little Fish finally being recorded, but I'm such an obsessed fan, I wish some of LaChiusa's other shows were recorded. Speaking of Hal Prince, his off Broadway production (one of the most expensive off Broadway productions ever) of LaChiusa's Petrified Prince deserves a recording. Lovers and Friends, The Highest Yellow, and his Japanese dark production of Nutcracker (which I can find very little about though it was by director Amon Miyamoto who's so famous for his Sondheim productions there) are works I'd love to hear.
Ten or so years back I heard plans for a full recording of the great Menken/Ashman God Bless You Mr Rosewater. There's a lot of unrecorded (professionally) Menken out ther ebut this tops my list--a great score and one that deserves more exposure.
I'd like Dance of the Vampires and (menken) Hucnhback of Notre Dame English recordings as well
Mamma Mia! on Broadway. After seeing it yesterday, Carolee's Winner Takes it All NEEDS to be recorded.
I don't know if this counts....
but I would love a recording of "A Little Night Music" with Kendra Kassebaum from the upcoming concert....
I would love an English recording of Dance of the Vampires with Chuck Wagner or Marc Kudish as Von Krolock.
I'd like Cry Baby
and (Off-Topic) I think it would be awesome if they recorded "In The Heights" entirely in spanish!

Kissynose, I see you mentioned No No Nanette (Encores).
I'd like to second that, and Mara Davi was wonderful in the title role!
GeekGirl06, there is a cast recording of "James Joyce's The Dead". It's not the original Broadway Cast, but still... Pittsburgh's Irish and Classical Theater recorded their cast's production. It wasn't released to stores, but if you made a donation to their company, you could get one. They still might have some left.
I wish that there were a complete recording of the original cast of "The Golden Apple" and a complete recording of "Falsettos" with Mandy Patinkin and Barbara Walsh and a studio recording of "Lolita, My Love"
oh...
I forgot the City Center's Damn Yankees from this past summer!
