"I'm tellin' you, the only times I really feel the presence of God are when I'm having sex and during a great Broadway musical." - Nathan Lane - Jeffrey
Anyway, Lennon I did always want to hear In My Life
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
Knowing I'll never hear the threepenny revival cast again still makes me sad.
I'll add the new Les Mis cast, word is they wont record them, pity.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
Lestat Guys and Dolls (London West End Revival with Ewan McGregor) The Producers (Original London West End Cast) The Phantom of the Opera (Broadway Record-Breaking Cast) The Phantom of the Opera (London West End 20th Anniversary Cast) Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular
As you can tell, I kinda like Phantom a little bit.
Foxy Lolita, My Love Love Life 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Up From Paradise Hotel for Criminals Reuben Reuben Teddy and Alice A Mother's Kisses We Take the Town Royal Flush Chicago (Original London cast) Carrie Regina
Shows that needed more complete recordings of the original cast: The Golden Apple Allegro Lady in the Dark One Touch of Venus
I agree with Threepenny Opera revival (loved pretty much EVERY member of that cast) as well as Lennon, would also like:
Putting it Together (with Carol Burnett and George Hearn) Lestat (I know, I know, but still) Concert version of Snoopy (The one Sutton did a few years ago) The Broadway's Best concert thing Bravo aired a couple years ago.
THE RED SHOES(1993), Jule Styne's last musical. The extended ballet with music by Styne (not an arranger) was in the repertory of the New York City Ballet. The show wasn't very good, but a CD would be a posthumous tribute to Jule Styne who worked on the show for many years. The overture was classic Styne.
Snoopy! Benefit w/Sutton and Hunter Foster The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas AFB Les Miz Revival
"I'm tellin' you, the only times I really feel the presence of God are when I'm having sex and during a great Broadway musical." - Nathan Lane - Jeffrey
Les Misérables Revival Lestat (hehe) Ugh, so many more . . .
Based on this morning's performance, "The Grinch."
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
