Someone else mentioned this and that it wasn’t actually a rumor, but man, Mandy Patinkin would’ve slayed Pierre in Great Comet. I completely understand why he backed out, and even besides the controversy it would’ve been a bit strange having one cast member so much older than everyone else, but I think he would’ve been awesome. Really hope Mandy gets around to another musical before too long. With Homeland out of the way, he should be pretty freed up for one.
