Both of my brothers are taking French but the singers are just too fast for them to translate this song. Does anyone have the French lyrics and the English translation of this song?

They ARE way too fast to translate, but it doesn't sound like the same song, from what I can pick out.

Yeah, when they sing, it doesn't sound like they are actually singing the lyrics to December 1963. Plus, I want the rap lyrics.

I don't think they're the same lyrics at all. I mean the spoken lyrics. The lyrics that are not the chorus.

I know at one point where they go 'a gosh - a droit' means 'to the left - to the right' -- if I remember correctly, that part is not in the English translation..

I've been taking French for a little over 4 years now and it SOUNDS similar, but some of the things I just can't comprehend and trying to connect them to the regular Four Seasons lyrics isnt' helping much... but I too would like the rap lyrics!

I don't think the lyrics are correct because some of the words in french cannot be translated to english, so I think These Evenenings, is supposed to be what a night.

I think it's based on "Oh What a Night," not a direct translation. The music is roughly the same.

Yeah, the lyrics that you can find online are from the original French rap hit in 2000 by Yannick, (my friend from Paris played the original for me once- quite interesting. ). In the show they cut it down to a verse and chorus. The lyric is basically correct with only one addition I can add- to the best of my knowledge, THIS is the French in the middle that the rapper and the one girl say:

GIRL:
MAIS QU'EST-CE QU'IL ATTEND POUR VENIR ME VOIR?

RAPPER:
BON J'Y VAIS SINON, J'VAIS ENCORE LE REGRETTER

GIRL:
AH ENFIN IL S'EST DÉCIDÉ, PTETRE QUE CE SOIR...

RAPPER:
T'INQUIETE LA SOIRÉE NE FAIT QUE COMMENCER

ALL:
EN HAUT... EN BAS... A GAUCHE.... A DROITE

and so on and so on from there. And you're right suzycat- "Ces Soirees La" is more like our recent pop acts that have 'sampled' show tunes, ("Hard Knock Life" and "If I Were a Rich Man" spring right to mind...)
