JerseyGirl, I think it's King James, of the King James Translation.
And who joined that WoF board under the name "AllCreatedEqual"? Y'all are begging for that thread to be deleted.
Nah, it was before King James. One of the Henrys, I think. King James was just a chauvenist pig that added, "Wives submit to your husbands." But he was straight. And apparently he was into S&M.

What the bible says or doesn't say is irrelevant to me. People are allowed to have their own beliefs and I personally don't take any issue with that, until what someone believes is completely intolerant and promotes hate toward any kind of group.
The fundamentals of religion have to do with love, no ? And compassion. Who is honestly qualified to say who deserves compassion and tolerance and who does not ? I think that any religion who can outwardly tell people they are wrong for having their own beliefs, is not based upon love. I honestly feel sorry for people who are so narrow minded that they need to reserve judgment for people because they disagree with how they live their lives. It's not about religion...it's about human compassion.
I am not a huge KC fan but I do applaud her for not keeping quiet about what she believes.
Makes me feel a little bad for the helium baloon sucking imitations of KC I have done in the past. She has earned a great deal of my respect.

So basically Jesus hates Kristin now. Oh well, life goes on. If you're going to hell anyway, Kristin, you might as well have sex with Marc Kudisch finally.

Well, I think it was extremely silly of the Conference to ask Chenoweth to step down, especially over something as positive-minded as her belief that God is accepting of all people. I am sure a great many members on this board know that really the Conference is upset with Kristin vocalizing her support for the homosexual community. It makes the Conference appear foolish by generalizing and saying they want her out because she thinks God is accepting of all people, because a majority of the Christians that I hang out with, think that is a true statement. However, the current and past translations of the Bible do condemn one type person...not homosexuals, fornicators, liars, murderers, or abusers (take your pick). The Bible condemns non-Christians...those whose sins have not been forgiven by Christ. Some disagree with this, and that's okay, but I think God is accepting of all people who accept Him. No exception!

God is NOT accepting of all people. I saw Willie Ames on a Christian cable network and this pastor buddy of his was saying that God makes absolutely no differentation between a sin like stealing a quarter from your mother's purse, cheating on your husband, or murdering somebody. Each enrages God equally, they explained. And they also explained that no amount of feel good philosophy from the modern era can change that. So, now you know why they had to let Kristin go. She'll be fine. She can finally have extra-marital sex with Marc Kudisch. So even though she won't be able to BE with God for all eternity, at least she's got the chance to SEE God in the heat of carnal lasciviousness.

Do you want to know something really interesting? One of the lady speakers on the tour has a son who is gay and I believe that she still loves him!! Someone call headquarters.

Wow, Namo...I don't even know what to say about that, except that God does see all sin as equal, and hates it all, but the fact remains that all men/women sin, and it is not by living a perfect sinless life that we get to heaven (Christian Beliefs), but it is by the blood of Christ and grace. I stand by my statement that God is accepting of all those who accept Him. By 'accept,' I mean to take Him in as your Lord and Saviour, and when a person does that...according to Christian belief, their sins are forgiven. God does not say "okay, Christians...you can only have 100 sins from this day forward, or else" He forgives, which granted the catch 22 is that if you have accepted Christ...you should strive for less sin, but you aren't going to be perfect and that's why Christians have God's Grace.

So Jews like Marc Kudisch are doomed and that's why Kristin had to dump him? That and the fact that he wanted to have sex?

Gay...and a Christian?!? *Gasp* Say it ain't so! Hasn't the mother been kicked out of her Sunday School group yet?

Namo,
Actually Jews are not doomed. They are God's chosen people, and even though they are still waiting for Messiah, he will provide for them. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm getting a masters in theology (and i'm bi and having lunch with a gay friend going for ordination and i have a lesbian pastor with two kids who lives downstairs from me).

Wait, what about Jewish types like Kudisch?

So there can be two Messiah's? That's awesome! Like there's a Godspell and a Jesus Christ Superstar!

I admit, I am not quite sure of what is to happen with the Jewish faith. I acknowledge that the Jews are God's chosen people, and therefore, I choose to believe that God has a plan for His people.
But...this has turned into faith-based off subject discussion. I still think it is the Conferences loss to get rid of Kristin, as well as the audience that will miss her. As a Christian, I know that some of the most touching people and powerful witnesses can come from those individuals that are not Christian. You don't have to be Christian to be a witness to faith in general...and I think all people can benefit from hearing stories of those who are faithful to the simplest of things...life.
Absolutely yipper, the kicked out the one person who demonstrated what it is to be a Christian woman.
...amen. This is ridiculous. I believe God will accept all people, whatever the be/practice/believe. The CWC are a bunch of evil white men who are pushing their own beliefs in a religion about forgiveness and acceptance. But remember... the one that Christian people follow was persecuted for just being who he was.
The one thing about the Catholic Faith that discusts me, is how unaccepting we are as a religion, people you associate with, lifestyles, and especially other religions. I mean even the other Christian religions are a bit more accepting than we are. Maybe this will change... but it probably won't.
And I know Kristin isn't Catholic... but we're the most extreme non-accepting faith of the Christians.

God does NOT accept everybody. Don't you listen to Willie Ames? He was Betty Buckley's TV stepson for god's sake.
I just feel bad that The Grovers Corners Yenta is going to burn in hell.
Also, if the Jews are G-d's chosen people, why did Jesus convert to Christianity from being Jewish?

Godspell is one of my favorite Messiahs. Oh, and I just remembered that third one, Handle or whatever. That one isn't my favorite because of the part where you have to stand up. I mean, God loves sitters too, right? Cuz everybody is like God forgives us our sits.
Anyway, Godspell is my favorite because he is so happy for 2/3 of the show and he has an S on his t-shirt that is for Saviour or something like that.

Up, Up and away! I think they call that transmorgafrication - or something like that.
"It's a bird, it's a plane, it's . . ."
There were a lot of people who heard Kristin speak and were unhappy with her. They found her to be very vain. Apparently she kept going over all of her achievements and saying God would open more doors if you just prayed hard enough. (Leading younger people to conclude thay they weren't praying "hard enough") She also said something along the lines of, "I know you can't take awards to heaven, but they sure feel good, don't they?" lol So, according to the website, she had already pissed them off. That was posted long before she was asked to step down.

I'd be VERY curious to know what her presentation was like - really. It seems to me that it could be interpreted as very negative if filtered through the uptight orafices of the listening audience.
Me too. I wonder if there is some sort of transcript somewhere?
