Anyone know how long Christian Borle will be in Something Rotten? I know he's been playing the part for a bit now and am hoping to see him when we come end of June.

He, along with BDJ and Cariani, said at BroadwayCon that they were planning on extending their contracts past the traditional one-year. He and the rest of the originals seem to really enjoy it there.

That is great news for the show, they all are wonderful in it. I loved the show when I saw it last year.

Yah....so if we're coming the 4th week of June we have a good chance of seeing him as well as BDJ (assuming neither is sick or vacation of course)?

I'm guessing they've signed on for a 6 month extension which would keep them in the show through September.

I am seeing this show next week and hearing this makes me excited. I had heard it was a great musical comedy, but have been putting off seeing for reason after reason. I finally decided to take the leap. I always find that the best performances often come from actors who truly enjoy the roles, so with their commitment to their characters I should be in for a really great time next week.

Two thumbs up from the left coast as well. Saw it last spring when I was in the city, and thought it was a very good show.
Very clever, and great performances! Those leads are quite exceptional.
In fact, the cast is amazing, from top to bottom.
Enjoy!

Perfect! So hope we get to see the originals and I'm particularly a fan of Christian Borle. I agree that it sure shows when you like what you're doing (can apply that to any job).

I heard today that Christian Borle (along with Andrew Rannells and Stephanie J Block) are in a new musical beginning end of September. I was sooo hoping to see CB in Something Rotten. Anyone know (since I posted earlier) if he'll still be in Something Rotten end of June (27th to be exact)? Not sure at what point they start rehearing for a new musical.

I loved this show when I went to see it this past February. I can not believe I waited so long to go see it. It is a great musical comedy and Christian Borle really does give his all and adds that "rock star" edge to Shakespeare. Now that I know he will be departing soon I have made a note to see it another time before he does.

Thanks for the replies. Fingers up that CB is indeed staying until end of July and we don't have an understudy. Great to hear that the cast looks like they are having fun. That makes such a difference in the energy and the performance. Can't wait.

Just confirming that Christian Borle is still in SR for the month of June? From below, it was thought he was here until end of July so just checking this is still the case.
