I was looking through Annie Pott's opening night Pippin photos and noticed Christopher was in them as Charles. Did I miss something about Terrence Mann leaving or was this very quiet? It is listed on Playbill Vault now that Christopher is in the cast but nowhere else.

This article mentions it, but only for the September performances.

On Playbill Vault it said he is a replacement that arrived January 21st. I wonder if he's just filling in again or if Terrance has officially left the show and he's the actual replacement.
Any word on Charlotte's final performance? Would like to see her be fore she leaves.

It's very strange that they didn't announce he was leaving, or that the replacement news only appeared on Playbill Vault.

I also found it odd that if you look at the press release yesterday on Playbill for Annie's first performance, Terrence is listed at Charles in the cast. Christopher was recently just doing something at ART too, must have been a quick switch.

Does it have anything to do with the master classes they teach? I know he's getting an award at SETC this year and teaching one there and the article I read mentioned he was teaching some prior to that.

This says he is filling in for Terrence Mann...hmmm
Saw Christopher when he filled in the first time in September. Whether he's there temporarily or has taken over the role on an on-going basis, there will be no dropoff from Terrence, he's terrific in the role. I saw his 3rd performance and it looked like he had been playing the role forever.

I am sitting waiting for the show to start. Christopher is listed in the playbill with photo and all. Not as understudy for tonight.
on the pippin website it still says that terrence is still in the role.

Terrence was on tonight. Show was packed for a Monday night and the audience was into it big time from the start! You could tell there were many many fans cheering and clapping madly throughout the show. The principals have really made these parts their own; I noticed a lot of little additions throughout the show of everyone getting a chance to ham it up. I loved how Catherine has added a French accent when she tells Pippin about her husband, I had never seen her do that before!

I agree about the audience..when I saw it last week (also packed in spite of the snow storm - freezing temps). They were wildly enthusiastic at all times from start to finish.
Also it was Annie Potts first week - the cast kept cracking up watching her. At one point, when Annie came out to take a bow after her big number, she had the cast on stage laughing so hard, they couldn't get their lines out. They needed a little time to get under control again.
I wonder if Terrance is back full time. I heard he was going to be gone for a bit. Maybe he was just available because it was an odd Monday... Chris was in the playbill. I don't think they would do that for just a few days, would they?

Saw the show last night also. It was high energy from the cast and the audience throughout. LOVED seeing Annie Potts add her special flair to the show....and it was clear that they all loved her too. There was a lot of giggling on the stage, which made it fun for all. I was happy to see this mix of cast members...it was just awesome.

Was Terrence on last night or Christopher?

I don't know who was on but Playbill Vault lists Terrence as the current Charles now.
As of Sat. night Sieber was in as Charles.

Has Sieber taken over permanently then?

Terrence was on Monday Jan 27th with his photo and bio in the Playbill
I am so confused how Sieber is contracted for this show.
All this stuff is so confusing that it prevents getting an exact fix on the situation, but if I were forced to guess, I'd say Sieber's been engaged as the alternate for when Mann has other commitments (shades of Ben Vereen and Carl Anderson alternating in JCS after Ben developed throat polyps). But it's not a consistent enough schedule, or billing, to say that's what's going on for sure.

But consistent enough to have his name and photo in the playbill with the other lead characters.
^ Which one are we talking about, Terrence or Christopher, since both have been reported as in the Playbill to the exclusion of the other in short succession?

Aren't the understudies for Charles too young? Maybe if they know Mann is going to be out for a performance or two (or a week or two) they bring in Sieber and use the understudies for (God forbid) emergencies.
on playbill vault it says the chris was in it from the 21st- 26th
