Honestly, I liked "Falling In Love With Love." But whatevs.

If I'm correct, the "Impossble (Reprise)" is the verse sung as she goes to the ball in the coach. I always just considered that all part of the main song, but I can see how they wouldn't.

Any chance this recording will be available in the US?

True, I liked "Falling In Love With Love" as well and would have wanted it in there. More exposure for the wickedly funny Stepfamily.

"Impossible Reprise" was not sung while going to the ball. That part was still part of "It's Possible." The reprise was sung just as Cinderella sadly returned to her home and realized that she's just a housemaid again. Fairy Godmother sing to her and calls her a foolish girl, but Cinderella ends with "Impossible things are happening every day" and is filled with hope again.

"The Sweetest Sounds" was not like the 1997 ABC release. The play opens with Cinderella scrubbing floors in the basement. Her Fairy Godmother stands behind her and starts to sing the song. For the first few lines, Cinderella echoes the Fairy, and eventually ends up owning the song. Nice attack as well.

Stepsister's Lament was the extended version, I think.

There's music in you begins with the Fairy Godmother singing. The scene is the wedding preparation of Cinderella. She's being dressed up in her final gown and she and the Godmother exchange the lines. The last few verses go to Cinderella, as if speaking to the audience. Then the wedding scene begins and the entire cast sings the final lines of "Do I love you..."

I'm here in the US and I really want this CD. I might be able to have my uncle in Manila buy it for me. Do you know where he can find it? Would he only find it at the theater? And would he need a ticket to the show to get in and buy it?

On the CD: The cast album will be available online soon. The production just had the previews a few days back so, it may take a few weeks or so.

I was on the official site, where they have a "listen to the songs" feature. It had "Ten Minutes Ago" on it and I was excited cause I wanted to hear Lea sing in it. Once the prince was finished and Cinderella started singing I was like "That's not Lea Salonga......". They are just using the songs from the Lesley Ann Warren version.

I really want to hear the rest of the Lea Salonga recording.

This new cast recording is amazing!
Lea Salonga has such a crystal clear beautiful voice that makes the R&H score even more magical. It's perfect for Cinderella. Peter Saide (Prince) and Charlie Parker (Godmother) have beautiful voices as well. My personal favorites are "Ten Minutes Ago", "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful" duet, "There's Music In You" and "Sister's Lament".

Be patient...the CD will be available soon in the US via your favorite online store.

On a recent news clip, a cast member announced that the recording would eventually be available on Amazon since Lakeshore Records produced it. I'll see if I can confirm this.

At the moment, the CD's will only be sold at the tour stops.

I just my copy from the Philippines (big thanks to my aunt), the CD is amazing!!! I wish they release the CD souvenir products soon. According to my aunt, the production was really fantastic... if only I could go home and see it!

Will watch Cinderella tom. I got the tickets today (orchestra - roughly 70 dollars each). For the matinee show, there were only 4 tickets left so we grabbed them even if we'll be seated away from one another.

I know it will be a long wait again to see Lea in the Great White Way so I decided to catch the show since I am in Manila for 2 weeks. I just don't like theater cause its gargantuan (4 times bigger than Broadhurst).

Will try to get the cast recording and the programme if they're not THAT expensive...

Oh, and I learned from Ticketworld that Joanna Ampil (London's recent Fantine and Miss Saigon International Cast CD's Kim) is doing West Side Story in Manila too. Too bad as I'll be back in NY when she opens the show. Aaaaargh!

I hope I'm not being too annoying with all my questions.

I'd like to know how much a typical cast recording goes for so I know what to expect when the Cinderella recording comes out online. It would be more than $10, right?

I read that Cinderella is Broadway Asia's biggest production at $2 million. Does anyone know how much a typical Broadway musical costs?

I can't imagine a more inappropriate voice for the unbelievably charming CINDERELLA score than the bleating honk-belt of Lea Salonga. Another score by the masters sold down the (Yangtze) river.
