City Center Adds Additional LITTLE SHOP Performance

They added a performance on July 2nd since demand was so high and tickets go on sale at noon today. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to go!

Ugh, I bought a terrible seat because I thought it was one night only. Do you think I could exchange it for a better seat?

Doubtful. But if you want a better seat just try to buy another one & sell your first seat. They'll probably both sell out so someone should theoretically want to buy your first ticket for face value.

I joined City Center for $75 b/c I wanted a shot at getting great seats for this sone-night show. I waited too long & my seats are pretty good. Now I'm kind of annoyed b/c I could have just waited for today!

Just called the box office. They will do an exchange, in this case. They were very nice about it too.

Oh wow. Lucky you! I called & bought great seats for the second night. I didn't think of asking them to cancel my first night tickets... which aren't terrible. So I doubt they'd let me cancel.

Oh well. I'll just sell them at face. I'll try the usual outlets but it's row E of the Grand Tier if anyone's interested. (Again, not bad, but I wanted REALLY good tickets for this. This is like, an event for me!)

Row E of the Grand Tier at City Center is actually really good, in my opinion.

Yeah, they're not bad. I realize that. My "new" seats are row B center of the orchestra, which is more where I wanted to be for this show.

So it shouldn't be hard for me to sell a good pair of seats for the first show.

Not me, I was flat out told (VERY rudely) that they have a zero exchange policy, no matter what the circumstance. I then told her that I had spoken to others who had gotten an exchange, and she "well they may have for them, but I can't do that for you."

It's honestly only a matter of a couple of rows closer at this point, but still, she was VERY rude.

Called back to see if I could speak to a different person and was told I could only exchange them for a higher price point.

I called to see if I could move from far back in the balcony to a seat closer to the front (in the same price category). After 7 minutes on the phone, I was told all I could do was "upgrade" to a different, more expensive section, but they couldn't move me to a better seat in the same price range.

The box office manager called me back and was polite, but firmly said I had to "spend more money" to change my ticket.

Yeah, the guy I talked to seemed nice, but it just seems a little ironic that I could have gotten a much better seat for the same price by waiting an additional 12 hours to buy. Oh, well...

I tried to be patient and never once raised my voice, but I kept repeating, "I know you didn't decide anything personally, and I understand things happen, but it's slightly Paper Moon-y. I just want the best seat possible that my budget allows." No dice...

Sorry--should have said I was looking to upgrade from balcony to better seats. That was probably why they were nice about it.
