I just listened to WARRIORS, and then the original (Colm!) JEKYLL & HYDE came on my shuffle. I treasure these, as records of changes and sometimes as all that exists.
Anyone have any faves that I might have missed? The more off the beaten path, the better.

I feel like the original Evita concept album is often forgotten in comparison to the OBC (though now that it has a new vinyl issued, maybe that's not the case anymore), but you get the crazy Che insecticide side plot.
A more recent one I really enjoyed was Edge of the World by Ethan Slater and Nick Blaemire. The plot is a little hard to parse out just from the album, though you can get the general shape of it, but I thought there was really great music and character writing in there (also Norbert Leo Butz!)

Charlemagne: by the Sword and the Cross and Charlemagne: the Omens of Death by Christopher Lee
The Protomen trilogy (act 1 and act 2 are out but act 3 is SUPPOSEDLY) forthcoming.
Superstar is, to this day, the greatest. Just perfectly realized and gorgeously produced. But I'm assuming you're already familiar with it.
Evita is perfect. How I would love to a see a production that was simply that album!

There is much I love about that album. More of a rock feel to a lot of the score. Some alternative lyrics I prefer. But that insecticide nonsense really mars it.
I grew up with the concept albums of JCS and Evita before I discovered the other cast albums, so to me those 2 concept albums are the definitive versions.
Also the original French concept album of Les Miserables is absolutely gorgeous. I don't speak a word of French but it's stunning. Not available on Spotify but it is on YT.
