This recording feels exactly like what was done to the original London production a couple years ago - random changes made to offer a quick thrill but with no regard for posterity. It's such a mixed bag that is no longer a representation of the original production. I wish they had done this with the intention of making the original recording sound as good as possible, as opposed to trying to make it as different as possible.

It sounds like a completely different instrumental which is way beyond remastering.

I don't know who they'll end up getting for the leads but I could see them trying to get the likes of Jordan Fisher, Jeremy Jordan, Darren Criss, Ben Levi Ross, etc.

My sister saw this in London a couple weeks ago and didn't know the show at all. She said it came across as extremely dated with the Christmas Eve jokes being very uncomfortable and offensive.

People are always quick to place blame, often warranted, on directors, choreographers, designers, etc; that I always wonder why it seems no one wants to ever put blame on an actor. It's Cynthia's job to learn the lines, that is really the base-level job of an actor before any 'acting' can begin. If she hasn't done that - she is to blame.

I can't believe in the year 2026 the city does not have protocols for inclement weather. Something as simple as saying if more than 3" of snow are on the ground and another 3"+ are expected throughout the day then shows are cancelled. So embarrassing.

I am a fan."I'm a fan as well, my only complaint is that passage is almost impossible to decipher the words she is singing when you are in the theater, unless you know it already. I wish they could have done a little more work on diction in that part.
