Congratulations on a wicked awesome 5 years on Broadway!
I can't believe it's been five years already. My, how does the time fly.
I can't wait to see all the **** they do for the 10th anniversary. Green fireworks over Times Square for 24 hours?
Congratulations Wicked!
Why do I get this sensation that Wicked will probably be running for decades and decades until Elphaba looks like this?

But, Idina already DOES look like that.
HA! 5 years is nothing. It won't make 10.
People have known for a long time Wicked is a megahit 'musical blockbuster' I don't know why we have to congratulate it - It really seems just like a big marketing exercise.

A good marketing "scheme" one, too. The show is really the first cultural phenomenon from the musical market since The Lion King. Cats, Les Mis, and Phantom all came out in succession, Lion King came a decade later, and Wicked in the 00s.
HA! 5 years is nothing. It won't make 10.
You're delusional if you don't think it's going to make it ten years.
It really seems just like a big marketing exercise.
Of course it is, and as someone pointed out, a darn good one, too. It keeps the show in the news. The marketing people behind this show have been geniuses. They've managed to aggressively market the tweens (not all that easy, as Legally Blonde saw), while at the same time, making it an appealing show to teens, young adults, adults, and older folks.
"But, Idina already DOES look like that."
Ha ha ouch, that was mean :P
"HA! 5 years is nothing. It won't make 10."
I won't be too sure if I were you, I mean have you seen the fan girls? And in 5 yrs those teens will be in early adulthood, which can only mean......
EVEN HIGHER PURCHASING POWER.

Broadwaynerd's not good, he's not nice, he's just right.
He's the witch, he's what no one believes, he's the witch.
Broadwaynerd is Elphaba?
Well, this explains an awful lot...
Say what you will about WICKED.
We should all be grateful that a mostly good show by a seasoned composer has been such a success and is introducing musical theatre to kids all over the world.
That is a real gift.

Congradulotions on the first 5 years and here's to many more years.
yes congrats to wicked from the current cast to former cast members and the people who work behind the scenes. i wish them another 5 years, which i think they will do. again dancing thru life for five years and top of the box office, that is accompishment.
wahoo congrats! I think that most shows that go over five years usually do pretty darn well for awile. Because for 5 or 6 years they have built a fan base and soon, as someone else mentioned, they have kids and take them to the show, they bring relatives, they go for birthdays. so I see a bright future for this show.
I really enjoyed the show. It can last another five years easily. On Broadway? Well, my only problem is that it might be preventing something new to come along? Yet it is successful and I know it will continue to make money as new fans find out how much fun it is.
I can't wait to see it sit down in San Francisco. It's such a treat and at least I know it is something I will enjoy seeing again.
Congratulations. Thanks for such an entertaining and thought provoking show!

Broadwaynerd, I was making a reference to a line from "Last Midnight" in "Into the Woods".
