Does anyone know how to contact Stephen Sondheim to get him to sign a playbill from the original Company? Or Does anyone have a something signed by him they are looking to sell? If you do, please PM me.
Someone might have an extra signed NIGHT MUSIC album. But I imagine they would sell it for a pretty penny.
I do not believe Mr. Sondheim will sign things and mail them back to people.
I saw a signed Night Music book on Ebay, but the person wanted like $500 for it. Hopefully I'll find someone who will sell one cheaper. Thanks ljay.
Another possibility: The first volume of his book will be released this fall. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a book signing.

Oh Ok... Thanks. I will have to keep a look out.
Google: Stephen Sondheim fan mail.
He has answered fan mail. It is worth a shot. Send whatever you want autographed in a SASE.

Doesn't he only do autographs if you donate to his charity?
If you send him a letter, he will respond. You have to get the right address though. I'm not sure if he sends autographs or signs playbills/merchandise.

I thought he had a problem with signing autographs? I heard (at shows anyway) he's happy to take photos, but rarely signs things. Or have I got this the wrong way around?

There are like three different addresses on the internet for representatives and I have in my mind that some agent or lawyer that represented Sondheim for a month in 1994 gets locks of hair and suicide threats from obsessed fans.
But I think if you write a nice, pithy letter he would respond. If you Fed-Ex your entire CD booklet collection with 'no names, just your autograph, please', then maybe not...
His real address is not terribly difficult to find out, google! Housing records, just saying. (...that's not weird, is it? :P)
I've always wanted to send him a letter as well, just to thank him for all the happiness he has brought me with his music, but I have also never been sure how to find the correct address. If anyone can help me out as well, feel free to PM me :)
You can always just send him a PM here. His screen name is Dollypop.

Years ago when I was an undergrad, Sunday In The Park had been out for a few months and I wanted to study a few vocal numbers in my voice studio. I wrote to Stephen Sondheim to inquire when the score might be published. Within two weeks, I received a package with a note from Stephen Sondheim explaining that the vocal selections or full score would not be out for months. In the package were copies of the handwritten piano score! To top off the story, without any correspondence, I received another package a year later of the published piano/vocal full score. Needless to say, I've cherished these items and have had nothing but the greatest admiration for Mr. Sondheim.
I would hope that he freely would sign your playbill. Best of luck to you.
He's generous, enough said. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I've corresponded with him for a while now, not just about his shows, but about the direction of my education. He's a really nice man. I really enjoy hearing from him every once in a while. And he did sign a book for me.

I was able to find two addresses online, but one of the websites says that the address listed on Sondheim's official site is no longer working. I doubt this is "confidential," since a quick Google search links you to these websites, but can anyone verify which of these two managment companies is the best one to send mail to?
"Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison" or " Douglas & Kopelman Artists, Inc"?
I don't recall which address I wrote to, but I did send Mr. Sondheim a kindly-worded letter asking him if he could please sign something for my friend as his birthday was coming up and was a big fan. I heard back within a month and received an autographed headshot from him for my friend.

Hi,
I actually have a signed Little Night Music CD signed by Sondheim, Catherine Zeta Jones, Angela Lansbury and the cast which I got signed when I visited New York in April. I was so in awe of him I nearly cried when I shook his hand!
It is genuine. My husband and I both got one signed but have decided just to keep one.It will be going on eBay this evening my seller name is 'lizzyanne82'. Good Luck!
Thank you
