Roger Bart should play Corny in the new movie! He`d be PERFECT in the role!!!!
and if not him...Norbert Leo Butz....and if not him Stephen Lynch...although he`s gonna be too busy with Wedding Singer!

and people get all uptight about who the casting directors cast.
personally:
Ewan Mcgregor and Hugh Jackman would make fine Corny's.
Id love to see Amy Sedaris, Parker Posey, Joan Cusack or a lady of SNL cast as Prudy.
Cameos by John and Ricky and Marc and Marissa etc.. in minor roles.
and unknowns for the rest of them.

I do think Roger would be good. But Stephen?
I dunno, I just dont see Corny as a huge comedic role.

Out of those three, I'd say the most unusual choice for Corny is Norbert.
I still say Ewan MacGregor. He's got that charming smile that would be perfect for Corny.

I think Ewan McGregor or Hugh Jackman as mateo said. they both would fit the parts well, and bring in some more money for the already celebrityfied movie.

Posted: 6/27/06 at 1:16pmI honestly don't agree with Hugh Jackman as Corny Collins, just a personal thing. However, Donny Osmond sounds good to me. If he is tied to something else, that stinks... he was even a game show host, so that would be funny to see him as Corny. Anyway, I think that they are going to go with someone that is a well-known game show host, just because they would fit the bill. I realize that this isn't a game show, but it's still a TV personality. However, I think I would actually throw up if they used Ryan Seacrest.

...They shouldn't do that. Ryan Seacrest will look the same age as some of the Council Members. They need someone older. And I too like the Donny Osmond idea.
