Looks like it's happening and Jennifer Damiano has joined the cast. Beyond excited for this

Did anyone go to this and happen to pick up an extra Playbill or whatever they handed out? Willing to pay for shipping :)

They handed out nothing - there were one sheet cast lists littered around the venue. Very fun show though - totally ridiculous.

Thanks for the info :) Glad to hear it was a fun show, hopefully it lives on in some capacity. I think it would be perfect Off-Broadway.

What was the standing room setup like? I have tickets for tonight, and we're wondering if we need to get there early to get good standing spots.
Tonight's the last night anyone have a ticket they'd like to part with?

The standing room is kind of an L shape. You can stand by the bar, which is more to the side, or you can stand behind the seated section looking straight on at the stage, which is where I was (and I'd imagine was a much better view). That part is also more narrow, so there are fewer people in front of you, if any, compared to the bar area. The only bad thing is you have to deal with people walking by if they need to get to the restroom (as well as the occasional cast member who needs to get to the other side of the "theatre"
. I'd recommend getting there 15-20 minutes early and claiming your space, though perhaps Valentine's Day will be less crowded than last night.

Thanks for the info! It should be the same as last night, it's sold out.
Sad to learn this is a jukebox musical. The reviews suggest that the writers don't have much to say about teen sex in the 90's or in 2017. Spring Awakening, for all it's flaws, had a point of view.

One of its biggest flaws, actually. The point of view was that of a dated afterschool special. The other flaws, like the hand-held microphones, the lyrics and the finale, only made it worse.
I was curious about the visual aspect of the production, but when I perused the BWW "photo coverage of opening night", I noticed that BWW remains firm in its stance of refusing to edit down their photos and decided not to look at endless photos of the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again...
BWW actually made me LESS interested in checking out a show.

Curious to hear more reviews on this show. Heading to NYC next week and thought it might be a fun night out,

its really fun and clever and the cast is talented, but man why is this being produced as a dinner theater concert and not a full production where it could easily pick up a following like Heathers or Rock of Ages?
Has been extended into mid-March now... Hoping for a few more weeks' extension because the Sat 5pm show would fit nicely between two other shows, schedule wise, on our next trip. ![]()
I noticed they've extended into April now, and I'd thought about squeezing the 5pm Saturday show in between (Donna) "Summer" at 2pm and "Lobby Hero" at 8pm. That'll only work if "Summer" is still a sub 2 hour, one act show as it was in its CA tryout. Anyone know if that's still the case?

The song list is every song that was in the movie is in the show. They don't give you a playbill or anything.

Is the show worth seeing? What is the running time?

According to the cast members' Instagram stories lately, they are all in a recording studio. I would practically KILL for this album (saw the show multiple times because the arrangements of the songs are just so good), but I'm wondering how expensive it must be to secure all the rights to those 90's songs? Hopefully it is announced and available soon!
The cast album is available digitally now. I didn’t get to see the show but it’s a fun album. I’m surprised how many songs I knew considering I was mostly listening to Broadway cast albums in the 90s. I do remember the movie and it sounds like the majority of the dialogue on the album is lifted straight from the film.
