Why are The Drowsy Chaperone and The Wedding Singer listed as current tours when the most recent dates are 2008?

There is currently a non equity tour of The Drowsy Chaperone going on, presented by NETworks.
You mean a California tour? Ok, the perform in Reno and Medford, OR too...
But, I don't think Broadwayworld lists non-equity tours, do they?
Sure they do. I just saw Drowsy Chaperone last month. Hairspray, Annie, Cats, and Wizard of Oz are all also non equity productions that they have listed. I believe a few others are but I'm not sure.

WTF? Phantom is Equity.

I was just going to say, Phantom is most definitely Equity.
Once the tour closes, I suppose its a matter of time before a Non Eq version picks up.
The Wedding Singer tour is a current (non-eq) one. It's being produced by Prather Entertainment Group (the touring branch of the Prather Family of Theatres). The one that ended in 2008 was a NETworks tour, I believe.

The Wedding Singer tour from Aug2007-Aug2008 was the 1st National Tour of Wedding Singer and Presented by NETworks. This was still an Equity Tour. Anything else from those dates were NON-Eq
Ummm vlegra, I think that The Wedding Singer tour from 07-08 was non-equity as well. Isn't everything produced by Networks non-equity?

Even though the NETworks tour of The Wedding Singer was the first national, it did indeed go out non-Equity.
No, their current South Pacific tour is equity.
Their tour of Little Women was also equity.
Oh, okay. For some reason I thought that they only did non-equity shows. Thanks for clarifying. But even though THE WEDDING SINGER tour was non-equity, the performances were Equity level! I loved that show!
