Cursed Child cancellation line

It appears the show has been quietly releasing new tickets every week or so, particularly for the upcoming month (meaning there are typically tickets available for shows in the next four - six weeks from the date you log into ticketmaster and check). Cancellation line is certainly an option, but you could also just check ticketmaster once or twice every day for a week or so and I'll bet you find something. That said, they seem to be releasing mostly $199 and $299 tickets and maybe cancellation line will be cheaper. Anyone know how much cancellation line tickets are? Are they doing cheaper standing room only tickets also?

If you can also check the box office directly. That way you can avoid the fees. I do wonder if they have a broader selection of seats as well.

I watched back in London basically one year ago and got really great tickets (45 pounds a ticket) because of the amazing guy that worked at the Box Office.

So far I’ve seen the show twice in two weeks for $20 a part. I didn’t buy long in advance or get special access. I bought my tickets through their site several days prior to each performance. Because this is the only show on Broadway that offers refunds to patrons, I assume that that’s why I managed to find $20 tickets on random performance dates because they were rereleased to Ticketmaster. It’s worth periodically checking the site for last minute availability due to advanced cancellations. Just the other day I found a pair of $20-$40 tickets for two separate performances next week, but I let them go because I didn’t want to get greedy. I’ve been having wonderful luck with this show.

I went on Wednesday, about 15 minutes before curtain, and there was one person in line. I went into the box office and inquired about a single seat, and managed to get 1 seat in the center balcony for $80 (it would have been a good, if not far, view were it not for the big head in front of me blocking center stage). The attendant was a little surprised to find it, so either I inadvertently cut in front of the person in the standby line, or she was holding out for a better seat.

However, the 5 times I've now seen this show on Broadway, I haven't really seen anyone in the standby/cancellation line. A couple of people at most.
