I think Lisa Kudrow can sing, I’m almost certain she did so in a movie but it’s a limited voice

He’s definitely a Cornelius, but yes! I think he should definitely continue doing Broadway, he’s very good.

Would love it, but am having a tough time dreamcasting an Irene for him. He’s only 29 (Creel, by contrast, is a youthful 41), but think he reads a bit “older” (mature).

I don’t think they look that different in age, so I don’t fully see the issue.

Horace - John O’Hurley
Cornelius - Corbin Bleu
Barnaby - Nick Barasch
Irene - Jen Gambatese
Minnie - Jenna Ushkowitz

Pearl Bailey did an all-black version.  Why not get Whoopie Goldberg and replace the white cast with blacks and revive the black cast version.

My dream Dolly would be Reba. And I think that she is a super viable option, she has her residency until the end of August in Vegas, so could essentially start the show in September or October.. Which would allow Bernadette to finish in July, bring in Betty Buckley for 2-3 months, then have a mega-star (Reba in this case) take over. Certainly smart from a producing aspect.

Chadwick as Cornelius would be an absolute dream (can he sing?), but Renée is entirely too old to play Ermengarde and Cynthia doesn’t fit the part vocally very much.

To be realistic (not that I don't love Dream dream dreeeeam casting because I do!)

Whoopi and Brian Stokes Mitchell together would be a dynamite pairing.

Renee Elise Goldsberry would be lovely as Irene, actually. There are only a few working actors I can imagine approaching Kate Baldwin’s brilliance and she’s one of them.
