What DVD would you most like to see made after the show closes? I mean like how you can buy Jekyll and Hyde, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods (MY personal favorite), Sweeney Todd, etc. I would really want to see a Little Shop of Horrors revival and Urinetown the Musical one.

Well, unfortunately, I dont think you'll be getting your wish on those ones
, although both would be great.
I wished they had made an Aida DVD, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised with a Lion King DVD. I'd love a West Side Story DVD, although with the movie, I'd doubt that happening. I'm actually surprised a Phantom one hasn't been made yet.

id love to see it for the graduate, but i doubt thats gonna happen
Caroline or Change (rumoured to be coming out on dvd)
Assassins (Hope it does like Sonheim's other shows)
The Wiz
Company (Original cast but I don't think it was filmed but the recording session for the show is very good!)
Urinetown
TABOO! I want this on DVD SO badly. There was supposedly a documentary coming out, and there was a petition to get the show on DVD, but I don't know if those are ever coming out.
AIDA would be really great on DVD, as well.

I would have loved to to see the original production of Follies, with Aronson's set design.
All of these shows (except West Side Story) are ALL in the Lincoln Center Library. Next time you're in New York come and watch a show, but be careful how you spend your time because you can only watch it once. This is probably your best chance to watch it on account that most of these won't come out on DVD.
BroadwayDiva, you can get the London version of Taboo on DVD.
Aw, and AIDA. *sobs in corner*
wickedfan - can the general public view the shows?
Yes, but you have to be over 18 and you have to be "doing a production and use that video for research", many people SAY they do and just go anyways.
And they all travel back to 1968-70 (that area). So any show that was opening or still running at that time is recorded.

I'd love to see them record the London production of Les Misérables. The concert was simply inadequate; a good film of that particular legend deserves to be made available for all.

There is a weird exception regarding the Lincoln Center library shows. If you want to see the tapes of DREAMGIRLS or A CHORUS LINE, you have to get written permission from Michael Bennett's estate.
On the plus side, they have 15 minutes of footage from CARRIE. It's worth the trip, trust me.
I would have loved a Urinetown one too.
Caroline, or Change
Assassins
Taboo
Ragtime
"BroadwayDiva, you can get the London version of Taboo on DVD."
I thought that that DVD is only viewable in the UK.

I think the London Taboo is only viewable for British DVD players. If anyone knows where I can buy it for a US DVD player, I would love to know where I can get it.
There are some players sold in the US that play all region DVD's
When no professional recording is done, that's when bootlegs become an amazing thing. I know, attack me now. I enjoy them, and have over 200 - I would never watch a video instead of going to see a show, but once it's history it's a good thing to have to look back on and learn from again.

There are a few shows that have been bootlegged out there that I know were pretty good copies. I wonder how they were able to get them or how they were able to do it without problems.
Other then that, There are some shows I wish could have been on DVD
CARRIE
BLOOD BROTHERS
RAGTIME
THE BOY FROM OZ
oh but there are so much more but I have to say that these are some of them that come to mind

Does anyone have anymore info on Caroline or Change on DVD? Im assuming if they are releasing it, they are going to wait until it has closed in LA. But does anyone know if they are definetly releasing it?
