You're right! Thank you, MerMaggie.
The entire movie was like a Where's Waldo filled with Broadway folk. I loved it!

Annaleigh is interviewed to be the assistant.
Malcolm Gets is the real estate agent.
Daphne is the woman in the bathroom.
Stephanie J. Block is in the background in a dinner sequence.
Lisa Kron is the diner waitress.
Joanna Gleason is the psychiatrist.
Kate Rockwell is in there somewhere. As is Lin Manuel Miranda and Sara Gettelfinger. I BELIEVE Miranda was the waiter - but I'm not positive. But I do remember seeing him.
I think I got everyone... did I miss anything?
Seth Stewart is on the steps of the place downtown that Miranda moves in to. He's there when they first look at the place (with the dog) and then again later when Carrie goes to visit on NYE.
I am not sure of his name, but Graffit Pete from In the Heights is sitting on the bench with a dog while Miranda goes into her apartment.
I haven't seen the movie, but I'm told Lin-Manuel is also among the people you can see, along with Seth, in the scene where Miranda goes apartment hunting. But it's a "blink and you miss him" sort of thing.

You know, I thought that was the graffiti guy!
Kel, I noticed Seth Stewart (Grafitti Pete) as well. I missed Lin Manuel, though.
Sara Gettelfinger was the flight attendant who had to pry the bowl out of Samantha's death grip.
I almost screamed when I saw Joanna Gleason! That made my day.
Spoiler...
Julie Halston wasn't cut. I saw her in the rehearsal dinner scene. She was a guest at eating at the table while Samantha gave the toast.

Van Hughes is in the movie. I think he's in Saved now, and was in Hairspray? I think. He's the coat-check guy. He has one line.
The film really is cameo heaven. The friend I went with may have started getting annoyed by my "moments" when I recognized someone. What a fun afternoon at the multiplex!
despite the fact that i don't actually watch sex and the city, now that i know this movie is so filled with bway stars...i will definitely be tuning in
You know...this might be a fun DVD for us. We could invent a "Spot that Broadway Star" drinking game.

The entire series is speckled with broadway folk. Not to mention one of my personal favorite cameos. When Samantha is trying to get Smith Jarred at Raw *restaurant* There's another woman trying to get him as well. That woman is Julia Murney. hehe Samantha offers to pay her bill, and she paused for a second.. like she was gonna keep fighting but she just gives up.
brilliant show. brilliant movie. Best part of watching was always looking out for those broadway cameos. :)
so many cameos! I'm seeing it tonight with the partner. SOOO EXCITED.
I might have to bring a list and try to spot each one...

My friend (who is not a Broadway person at all) told me that the therapist(Joanna Gleason) looked like a man! And she also thinks Van Hughes is a hottie (which I agreed with).

I loved seeing Annaleigh Ashford. She was hilarious. "This is not non-fat!"
If I didn't watch the entire series I probably would be confused or bored most of the film.
I believe Lin-Manuel Miranda was one of the movers moving the couch. It looked like In the heights Director Thomas Kail was moving the couch with him but I could be wrong. Seth Stewart (Graiffi Pete in Heights) was on the steps.

I was so happy for Daphne when I saw her in the film! What a surprise. I hadn't heard anything--or read anything on here--about her having a bit part in the movie. I was so psyched for her to get exposure in such a big film that I hardly heard anything that she said, though I realized it was something about ***spoiler***... a woman taking care of herself and not depending on a man for money, lest they get divorced, like the case of the auction they were at. Which makes Carrie do what she does.
Anyway, I thought it was a shame they called her "Baby-Voiced Woman." But I suppose it beats a credit as "Woman in Bathroom." "Auction Woman" would have worked for me, but I guess some people would confuse her with the older auctioneer lady. "Independent Woman" is even more to the point...
Another thought: While someone up the thread said Joanna Gleason looked like a man, I didn't think that. However, I noticed that in her close-up, as well as the close-ups in the heavily-made-up wedding day scenes, EVERYONE's lipstick is smudged. Lots of lipstick smudged in this film. For a movie rooted so much in fashion and beauty, couldn't they have smoothed out our leading ladies' lips a bit before they printed the film? (Same could be said about forgetting to edit out some of the boom mics that supposedly appeared in some scenes, but I forgot to look for them since I was just enjoying watching the movie.)
One more thing: I realized after the fact that it seemed that Jennifer Hudson and Daphne were the only ethnic people with lines in this movie. I'm white, but it bothered me the more I thought about it. For a movie that prominently features "New York," you'd think they'd put more diversity into it. (**Spoiler** Even when Miranda is looking for an apartment, she says "White guy with a baby, follow him," right there in the middle of Chinatown or whatever ethnic area it was.) I know the film is about four well-to-do-white women, and I hate media-spun "PC" stuff, which wasn't really an issue in promoting this film. But considering the people who made the movie, I wonder if they thought about such things. There were lots of ethnic girls in the audience where I saw it, in Chicago. Wonder how that made them feel, if anything.
I'm not convinced 100% that it's Stephanie in the background. It kind of looks like her at 16 seconds in, but when you see the same woman at other angles I'm not so sure...

Ooh I'm excited to see this movie now I'm not a huge sexy and the city fan, but now I have more reasons to see it haha.
Joshua Henry was also in it from In The Heights

Agreed, Popular--it looks like her from that one angle, but when they move the camera so that she's on the right, it really doesn't.
Still, lots of fun Broadway sightings, from what you guys are saying!
