Err, center is always better for $10 more. The show or theater play no part in the decision making, unless that $10 means you have to skip a day of eating to adjust.

I have a question about the box seats. On twitter it says they're $69 at the box office. Has anyone gotten these box seats? Are they only available day of or can you buy them ahead of time?

You can buy t hem in advance. remember, box seats are not good seats, you often cannot see the part of the stage closest th of you, you are looking at the stage at an awkward angle and can often see backstage.

Bit of a dilemma. So I recently switched from the front row orch to front row mezzanine, but now Row C Center Orch is open and I do like being close, but is that still too close and are some views cut off? Thanks for any help.

The projections are pretty far up on the stage, I personally think you should stick to Front Mezz - that way you won't have to crane your neck too much. Full disclosure - I personally find mezz to be a much better fit for musicals because you can truly appreciate the choreography, staging, set, and lighting design; so I'm a bit biased but I still think you should stick to mezz.

I was rear mezz, far left last week and it was still an amazing view. I think mezz might be the way to go for this show. With so many visuals happening onstage at once, it's nice to have an overview to take it all in.

I was three rows from the top of the mezzanine last night and the view was very good. I'd keep the front row mezzanine seat. Row C would still have some of the same issues with the proximity to the high stage.

I haven't inquired at the Music Box box office recently, but do people know if they sell Standing Room when the show's sold out? Those spots were great when I saw Shuffle Along.

I hope the extreme orchestra sides are not too obstructed. I just paid full price for orch right row O last seat. The Telecharge employee said it was the only seat left for this Weds show. If it's badly obstructed, I'll be pissed.

Sat in the Mezzanine Row G in the center when I saw it last week and the seats were perfect. You could see the whole stage, the actors weren't that far away and you got the effect of the whole stage.

I sat orchestra M28 when I went, I missed like maybe 5 minutes of stuff. Most of the action happens center stage

Debating booking a seat for April or May. Would the cast be more likely to all be on AFTER the TONY noms are announced? Would to hate to miss anyone in the original company.

I think the golden time to see any show is when the Tony voters may be in the audience, so I'm assuming May is good for most shows. April is probably good too.

I also have questions about the box seats. If you get a ticket for a box seat, are the chairs in the box assigned or first come-first served? (I scoped them out when I was at the theatre the other day and didn't see any letters or numbers on the chairs so I wonder how you know which chair to sit in.) Also, I'm curious to hear whether anyone who has sat in them for Dear Evan Hansen has opinions to share about the view. I remember seeing a post in another thread about the view being great, but in this thread, there's a post about how the view is bad. Can anyone who has sat there for DEH share their experience? Thanks in advance!

Wow, winner of the first lottery. Congrats! From what I've read, the lottery seats will depend very much on what's available. They might be partial view, or, who knows, maybe they'll be house seats that aren't being used? You'll have to come back and tell us where you ended up!

I think people are blowing this out of proportion. How do you know there were scalpers on line at the box office today? Were they wearing hats? Members only jackets? I'm just confused here. Because when I passed the box office a bit before 10, this frenzy wasn't around.
Last night, I saw resale tickets available online for as low as $39. Tonight they're a bit pricier, but still.
Everyone is so used too and scarred from Hamilton but the fact of the matter is that if you go online right this second, you can have your pick at any given seat for this show come February. January, even, maybe.

I wasn't trying to be alarmist but I've been going to the theatre for 20 years. I've never seen a line this long 3 hours before curtain. Many men who don't look like theatre goers, paying in cash, walking away with stacks of tickets and communicating with the next slovenly man in line handing him a wad of cash. People behind them yelling at them and cussing them out for taking so long and calling them out as scalpers. Like I said I've never seen this before. Also Jordan mentioned this in the other thread. I've also never been offered cash for my ticket in the lobby. It's just new to me and that seems unusual.
