re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

Honestly... i think I just died and went to heaven. I love dance music and I love Idina and I love WICKED and now it is all rolled into one.

I think the cheezy dance mixes of theater songs are a hoot (and really fun...)

Phantom of the Opera
Easy as Life (AIDA)
I AM What I Am
Evita (the disco album)

what a great batch of disco hooey that is so much fun!

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

I have to admit my morbid curiosity.

You left out
the SWEENEY TODD disco mix
and Ethel Merman's Disco Album.

HAhaha... I have to admit, I kinda can't wait to hear this.

"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"

"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu

Q:What advice do you have for aspiring Broadway stars who are terminally shy? I love your work, because you seem so bold. How do you do it? A:"I think I take more chances on stage then I do in real life but you can't learn anything if you don't challenge yourself. And don't say "terminally". If you love to perform then you have no choice, just keep training and focus on the words or the music whenever you find yourself slipping back inside yourself. You're not doing anyone any favors if you withhold your talents from the world"- Idina Menzel

I've always been interested in hearing the SWEENEY TODD disco version but have never been able to find it. Anyone know where I can find it?

re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

Defying Gravity is not suited to a dance track, not in terms of its music or lyrics. Good luck to them.

re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

When this gets released, my weekend nights will get a lot more gayer. . . I didn't think they could much more after Jennifer Hudson's "And I Am Telling You" disco remix.

re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

There's a cd called "Thrive Mix", I think. And they had a dance version of "Seasons of Love". I didn't like it that much, personally.

They should hve left JHud's song alone. That upset me when I heard it.

The On My Own mix is... just bad. It's not so-bad-it's-funny, it's not actually good, it's just sad. Unlistenable.

re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

yeah the On My Own one is just horrible. I didn't know they made an "And I Am Telling You" disco remix, I haven't heard it, and I don't think I want to. That is one song that shouldn't have been made into a remix

re: Defying Gravity Dance Mix

They actually made a few RENT dance re-mixes. I'm trying to remember which ones, but I found a few CD singles in the FYE at the mall (full of dust of course), and was staring at them in disbelief, lol!
