You'd probably have to buy multiple tickets, then. Good luck.

To those who want more originality on Broadway/To those who like WICKED (Aren't they the same people?):

Aren't y'all forgetting about WICKED? It's from the (much better) novel.

I swear... if WICKED was a movie first, you'd be throwing a fit.

I personally love both incarnations of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. If I was a costume designer, I'd jump at the chance.

"And, for some reason, I see Miranda as a drag role."

Teddy-loo, you see everything as a drag role.

Buckley and Sutton both make me a little sick to my stomach, so... no.
And I thought of Ebersole as Miranda, I think that would be amazing.

Well, duh.

Emily, I'm shocked. I thought for sure you'd be screaming, "PATTI!!" since you adore her and Meryl so much, but instead, you go with my choice if it's not done in drag, Ebersole, EBERSOLE, EBERSOLE.

I guess I just have that affect on people.

Maybe David Yazbek as the composer/lyricist?

Hated the book, loved the movie, but a musical? Can't picture it. Most of the humor was physical, not intellectual or verbal - dropping a coat on the desk is funny, but singing about it?

Will & Grace meets THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA: THE MUSICAL.

Uh, no.

(Although, if Harry was in it, I'm so there. As long as he gets naked.)

I still say this idea stinks. I've not read the book but the movie was a shocker. Just another "needy teenager" chick flick. What with WICKED and LEGALLY BLONDE do we need another desperate to be loved female on Broadway?

Oh, my first post here was all about Patti, and I think she would be fab. But if not her, than Ebersole. It was Ebersole who had the affect on me, not you =D. I think Megan Mullally could be cute too. Just... not Buckley. Please.

Oh, and I think Aaron Lazaar could play Andrea's boyfriend, but I haven't seen the movie since it was in theaters and I forget how large his role is.

I do think Christine Ebersole has a knack for taking over the stage (stage presence galore!). I could see her making Miranda her own-also check out "Bright Lights, Big City" the role she played wasn't very large but it had Miranda elements in it.

Messing is too old for the Hathaway role-you need a younger person. How about Natalie Portman (can she sing?) or Scarlett Johanssen (who can if I remember correctly).
Aaron Lazar is an excellent choice.

Oh my God!!! Get over it already - she's human. And she would be the best choice - other than Julie White - I must say.
