She'll be singing "Bless The Lord". I've got a few contacts in the show and I knew they were finalizing her contract about a month back but I couldn't say anything.

I too saw her in Hairspray and loved her, then tracked down some of her in Brooklyn and it just firmed up the love.

Really excited about her in the show, not necessarily the show itself.

Bless the Lord suits her voice. I was expecting "Day by Day" for her but this is a good match of song and singer. Definitely looking forward to seeing the entire cast.

Thanks for the information MenzelManiac. Now that we know Diana is slated for "Bless the Lord" I am curious what Sara Chase will be singing instead.

I have heard the Papermill Playhouse version of Godspell was well received so I'm hopeful it will translate well to Broadway.

Diana in "Godspell" and singing "Bless the Lord" I'm sure she will be amazing.

When will the lineup for Broadway on Broadway be made public? I'm pretty sure there will be a Godspell cast performance and would enjoy seeing Miss DeGarmo and cast sing Bless the Lord.

She confirmed last week via a MySpace bulletin that she's singing "Bless the Lord":

Hey everyone! So, if you haven’t heard already… I am joining the cast of the revival of “GODSPELL!” I am technically playing myself, haha, and will be singing “Bless The Lord.” I am so excited about it and I truly believe that you all are going to be blown away. The cast is AMAZING! I wasn’t allowed to say anything before the official word came from the producers so sorry folks! We start previews September 29th at the Barrymore Theater on 47th street and officially open October 23rd!

While I appreciate Shoshana's talents, I hope she doesn't follow Shoshana in terms of the oversinging. I'm hopeful for a cast recording.
