Celina Carvajal's Facebook Status: Diana DeGarmo is coming into Toxic Avenger, can't wait to meet her. I'm in the show till August 13th, then it's off to the recording studio!

DeGarmo is coming in to replace Carvajal, who was always intended as a temporary replacement for the summer.

Don't know a thing about the show--but OMIGOD DIANA! First show I will see upon my arrival to New York in August! Good for Diana! And ANOTHER show to add to her resume--she's doing SO much this year!

Saw the show this past weekend. What a surprise... SO funny and really entertaining. Loved Celina. She was very impressive and the new guys in the cast Jonathan Root and Nicholas Rodriguez were phenomenal... The ensemble work and costume changes in this show are unbelievable. The whole cast will amaze and astound... The show is well worth a visit. I bet Diana D. will be very funny...Good for her!

Does she ever take a vacation? After her two Broadway runs as Penny I have no doubt she'll be great. She is considered one of the two best Penny's.

I was going to see this sooner, but after this announcement, I will be delaying my visit until Diana is there! I'm incredibly excited to see her!

Batchels, Diana put out a MySpace bulletin today saying she'll be playing Sarah for 3 months starting August 14th:

I can't wait to see this. It looked like a fun show before Diana joined and now it is going on the "must see" list for this fall.

I don't know if I can see her in the role. I guess because I associate it with Sarah Chase who is sort of tall and skinny and whatnot, so it seems like a totally different type of person is being cast, but whatever. I'm sure she can handle it. I'm going to check out Celina before she leaves though. Any idea if there are any other understudies going on? I saw the original cast, and while I love "the black guy," he seems to be out a lot, so I'd love to catch the understudy. Any idea if he'll be out anytime this coming week?
