Truly one of the most crass, disgusting, nonsensical, absurd, and hysterical things I’ve seen all year. Is this a high quality, well constructed movie musical? No… but I recommend it anyway. My jaw was agape at some points. I can’t believe they convinced Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally to sign up for this. We all walked out of the theater smiling asking “What did we just watch?”

Big rec, but know what you are signing up for. Turn your brain off (way way way off) and just laugh.

Yeah, Mullally is really GOING for it here. Makes me wonder who they offered it to first (Emma Thompson? some SNL ladies?), assuming Mullally is rarely a first choice for anything.

I loved reading Mullally say that this is the favorite thing she's ever done.

I really enjoyed this last night!  I agree definitely know what you're getting into if you're specific about the kind of humor you like, as this is definitely very crass and raunchy and has a lot of wtf moments.  The music was a lot better than I was expecting and while the overall story arc itself isn't necessarily the most amazing thing ever written, I was still quite surprised at how well it moved along and incorporated the songs, and it definitely kept me guessing.  It's also definitely a show to see in theaters/with other people, so I'd suggest seeing it while it's still in theaters.

I saw it this afternoon and I was SCREAMING. My idol, John Waters would be proud. The script is SO STUPID and so funny and never for one second steps down from being completely over the top and Oh My Bowen, I loved every frame. I swear, watching something this insane it doesn’t even occur to you that every scene will just get more and more absurd, nasty and hilarious but it really does.

This 100% isn’t going to to be for everyone but for the people it IS for - it’s a Bowen damn gift.  And yes the Sewer Boys ARE gay culture.

I can only guess at the level of favors that had to be called in to get Nathan Lane and Megan Mulally to commit to this witless dumpsterfire of a project.  Vile from start to finish, featuring in the leads the two least appealing alleged actors to appear outside of the January 6 riots.

Nathan Lane and Megan Mulally have both called this some of the most fun they've ever had in their careers and its almost like the Leads were... supposed to be insufferable douches... wow.
