Chenoweth's series is a mid-season replacement, right? So that means that it's possible that the entire first season will pretty much be in the can before it airs. If so, she'll have several months open to do 20th Century.

Yes I believe the initial series order has nearly all been filmed in fact. It does have some theatre pedigree since headwriter/creator is Robert Harling (Steel magnolias, the movies SoapDish and First Wives Club, etc).

Well there was no mention of it tonight at her concert in the SF Bay Area...she did talk (albeit briefly) about GCB being canceled.

Not too many people in the SF Bay area are likely the target B'way audience. (And i would think since her show just got cancelled, it's too soon to be able to solidify that possibility)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I remember her stating in an interview if GCB was renewed then it would be a summer production but since GCB was cancelled I imagine it will be in the spring.
